One of my favorite drawing books

I am a fairly experienced artist and have amassed quite a few instructional books on drawing. I would wager that this book is one of my favorites. The author demonstrates step by step how to draw cute Chibi-style animals, making this an excellent reference for new and more seasoned artists alike. There is a wide variety of animals and the book is subdivided into different classes of animals. I will attach a picture of the table of contents for your reference. The instructions for each animal is on either a single page or spread across two pages. I felt very successful drawing from the author’s instructions, but please remember that only by practicing you will master these skills. This is an amazing reference for anyone interested in this art style. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been reading the Tori and Samuel comics for a while and always loved the style of the art. This book is amazing and gives plenty of advice and many different chibi animals to pull reference from. I really love this book and hope Phoebe continues to make more “how to draw” books in the future.

Been following this artist for awhile and was definitely excited when this book was announced. It helped me out by providing inspiration and guidance in creating my own style with some of the drawings I had planned out for the Lenten season.

I also liked the fact that there are other suggested books to get to help work on chibi style art and I ended up investing in those books too 🙂

EVERY animal in this book is adorable and looks like what they’re supposed to be. Both my kids (11 years old) have enjoyed this book so much and while some are challenging, they’re also doable. They like it so much and swap it back and forth I’d almost consider buying a second copy so they can have their own.

I bought this for my 9 year old so she could practice and learn to draw and she loves it! It’s easy to follow and she’s already done some really cute chibi animals.

Great Book Except for Duplicate Animal Designs

The cover and pages are of good quality. The designs are adorable and the artist does a good job going step-by-step. The artist re-uses some designs. For instance, the deer is basically the same design and in the same position as the reindeer. The raccoon is the same design and in the same position as the red panda. It’s frankly lazy and makes me sad that they decided to cut corners for such an otherwise wonderful book.

The author does a wonderful job of breaking down into step-by-step visual instructions of how to draw adorable chibi animals. If you’re a fan of the style, I highly recommend this book! The quality of the book itself feels extremely well made and of quality material.

I love how many animals in here, you can most likely find your favorite! It’s alright for fully train beginners if you know what I mean. It’s like you’ll need some kind of good training

I am a digital artist and this book is my absolute favourite. Such adorable characters with simple instructions. This book has a good layout too. I have purchased a LOT of kawaii drawing books but this one is in a league of its own. Super cute.

With very little experience I was able to start drawing from this book right away. My niece loves cute manga an I wanted to draw some pictures for her to colour. I’m really happy with the results.
