Disappointing layout

The women are well chosen and inspiring. However, the layout of an art book that has so many portraits over two pages makes it not enjoyable as an art book. Especially when the crease is right through someone’s face. I feel like this book was made as an afterthought to the portraits rather than creating portraits and layout that work for a book.

The art is beautiful, the women featured are inspiring! My only complaint is that the portraits on double page spreads have the deep binding crease in the middle of their faces. I don’t know how it could’ve been avoided but it is distracting and disappointing.
