More opinion than inspiration

This book has some great opinions on how the author would want you to live your life. A lot of it is good, common advice. However, I found it to be a little more liberal leaning than what I, myself, agree with. For example, she writes about being “conscious of our privileges” while fighting for the rights of all people. She encourages donating money, calling law makers, protesting etc. I believe there are better ways to be involved in fighting for the rights of all people. I purchased this book for a college grad. It doesn’t represent the advice I would give a graduate. If that is your cup of tea, I think you will love the book. It’s not bad, it’s just not my style.

I’m a big fan of Lisa Congdon and was so excited to receive this book today! The art is beautiful. I’ve already read through most of it. I want to buy it for every young person I know growing up and learning to make their way in this crazy world! I also want a copy for every room in my house! Just received my gorgeous colorful copy of Lisa’s new book, You will Leave a Trail of Stars! I’ve only scratched the surface of digging into this but am already inspired. This is the perfect book to have in my studio for days when I need an extra bit of inspiration. Jam packed with colorful illustrations and words of wisdom, this is a classic for every generation.

OMG! I LOVE, LOVE this book and I discovered it just at the perfect time as I was planning a personal and leadership development curriculum for young leaders and to facilitate the related sessions. I ended up tabbing just about every page because each one is chockfull of wisdom and aligns with my coaching work. I used many of the pages and related artwork in my power point with the young leaders and these had a tremendous impact on their awareness and motivation. I’ve since subscribed to be alerted with this artist/writer has a new publication. Such an incredible resource for young–and the not so young–and it was right on time!

This book is very colorful and encouraging for the artist wanna-be. Good to open and read a page or two when one is feeling in need of personal kick in the butt. Uplifting. Great to look at. Excellent collection quotes of encouragement along with Lisa’s unique artistic interpretation.

This book is full of beautiful illustrations and meaningful quotes. There are pages with thoughts and ideas that leave you feeling empowered and encouraged. Lisa makes you feel like she is your own personal cheerleader. I keep it with me and look through it regularly. I highly recommend it, my favorite by Lisa so far.
