This book is about organizing the author’s home, not all homes

This book seems designed with a very specific home in mind – the modern, built in the 2000s, large square footage type home. (Suggestion – keep shoes in the garage – OK, how will that work with an unattached garage? Are we walking barefoot across the lawn daily?) The pictures were nice, and it is a very quick book. But it’s more about how to organize the author’s home, than tips for all homes.

This book is designed for someone who has a huge house, lots of storage space, and a boatload of money to spend on redecorating your home for maximum organizational space.

The colored pictures are nice to look at to stimulate organizational ideas, but They are a dream for those who live on a small and very limited income.

The information given in the book is nothing new and very basic to anyone who is already a neat freak.

This book is not practical for the everyday person. Theirs references to old servants quarters for extra storage, and it’s mostly a picture book. Displaying two page photos of walk in closets and pantries that are bigger than my bathroom. Absolutely dissatisfied. I would expect most individuals who need help organizing have a small space. This book comes off as “I have a mansion and I can’t stop shopping so I need to make room for all the unnecessary junk I bought” Definitely returning.

The most concise organizing book in a gorgeous package!

I have read several home organizing books, but *this* is the one I have been waiting for!

The first thing I noticed right away is that there is no skimping on quality, here. The colors are vibrant, the paper is nice and glossy and thick. The corners of the front and back covers are metal-tipped, which is nice because not only does it give the book weight, but it protects the corners from bending and fraying. Inside, the pictures are plentiful, inspiring, and gorgeous. Just flipping through the book will make you feel motivated enough to start tackling an area of your house!

The book is broken down into various “challenge” rooms – kitchen, dining room, garage, etc. Each room is then broken down into specific tasks, which you can follow along in the 15 week time frame, or go at your own pace. There are tons of ideas on saving space, organizing, and lest you feel overwhelmed at the state of your current household, the author has also many suggestions on how to start the process (which is sometimes the hardest part). If you follow the book page by page, at the end of roughly 15 weeks your home will be clean and organized! The best part is that you can work at your own pace. The process is manageable enough that you can do a little bit every day…or set aside a couple of hours on the weekends and knock out an entire room in one swoop.

It’s clear that the author has spent a lot of time compiling this book. It is well written and detailed enough for those that need someone to point the way step-by-step, but it also leaves room for those that are not complete novices to join in the fun. There are tons of ideas that I’ve never seen on any other blog or website, which was refreshing. The book stands on its own, but you can also pair it with the suggestions and printables found on the author’s website.

Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and hope the author decides to write a Volume 2!

I bought this book as a companion to a Facebook cleaning challenge that I had joined. It’s just a coffee table book, to be honest. I thought it would have real advice and suggestions for organizing my space, but it’s little more than a published Pinterest board.

I love a good organizing book and this one is great! I know because half my house is looking amazing and I am exhausted. I love how it is numbered by task and then gives you plans along the way. I had just done a heavy cleaning and sorting on my kitchen, so it wasn’t too bad, but the suggestions in the book had me going back and tweaking my own system and after several days I have found my tiny kitchen is better than ever. My daughter asked to borrow it, but I think I’m going to get her a copy for herself. If you want to get on track here’s the instruction book!
