Have read through a few chapters and already picking up tons of ‘golden nuggets’ on how to invest in a true wealth building asset: real estate. As an investor, I’ve been mostly diversified in liquid assets like stocks, bonds, and dabbled in cryptocurrencies – but real estate is something I haven’t quite dipped into because of the complexities. This book outlines the pros, cons, benefits, and long term value of investing in real estate as an asset class to help clear any confusion around this historically complex topic. The authors do a great job at highlighting the value, incentive, and digesting down steps to jump into this asset class – all while mitigating risk. I highly recommend if you’re interested in investing within real estate and don’t know where to start.

I loved how honest these guys were about the intensity of entrepreneurship and the toll it takes to take a bold risk–the strain on their marriages, kids, and friendships, the pressure cooker they were in to raise funding rounds in time to expand the business while big financial institutions were hot on their heels, the legal scrutiny they were under, the morality of being the catalyst to gentrify a neighborhood. One of the best startup stories I’ve read, very akin to The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz– this time with a real estate slant.
