As I write this review, I am still shaking my head about what I have just read. How could it happen like this? Why didn’t I see any of this coming? My heart was pounding the entire time I was reading “The Arrangement.” From the first page I was worried, afraid, and excited about what could possibly happen next. I don’t know where Kiersten Modglin gets her ideas from, but I am always wrapped up in her stories and in awe of her creativity and excellent writing.

Whatever arrangement Ainsley thought she was proposing to her husband was not what I thought it would be about. I could tell she was very organized, a planner, and someone who never left anything to chance. She appeared to be the perfect wife and mother while her husband seemed to be constantly trying to please her. I expected something sinister to happen with each page that I turned and I couldn’t stop reading for fear of missing a clue or a hint of where their lives were headed. I had to read the ending twice to completely understand the madness that had just occurred.

The twists and turns, the lies and deceptions, are trademarks of all of Ms. Modglin’s books. Very few authors draw me into their books like she does and the suspense, mystery and the psychological mind games are sometimes too much to take. I always thought her writing couldn’t get any better but “The Arrangement” is a book that I will never forget. Everyone must read this book and all of her psychological thrillers. You won’t be able to stop with just one book because you will become addicted, waiting patiently for her next book to come out.
