“I must admit that as an over optimistic resident going into my first year of residency, I read almost all of the derm forums to get a list of the best dermatology books to begin with and I was lost lost lost lost and overburdened with a list of so many resources! Bolognia, Andrew’s, Fitzpatrick, Rook’s and even Uptodate were some of the resources I was bombarded with. A minority mentioned that their program recommended Habif as a first reading before moving on to Bolognia but I never gave that possibility a second thought because it was as I said a minority of people who suggested it. Then I heard this recommendation again by one of my dermatology tutors whom I’ve come across online and I wasn’t so enthusiastic but I thought what would I lose, let me give it a try! and OMG once I started reading it, I found that it was written as though Habif was holding my hands and getting me through the derm diseases in a very logical, and elaborate way. Everything started making sense and I found myself thinking back to most of the patients I saw during my first few months of residency and connecting the dots with regards to some treatment decisions. The treatment sections are elaborate and GOLD. I have to say though that I had very minimal exposure to derm as a med student. This book is a must read in the first couple of weeks/ months of residency. Once I get done with it, I am moving to Bolognia.”
Robert Gardere “Excellent clinical dermatology atlas with great photographs , treatment, and wonderful organization by regions. I also love the disorders index on the very first page. I found this most useful to quickly find a disease. I love this book. I also have Bolognia that I found bulky and the print is much too small. As a result I rarely use it
UNFORTUNATELY, there is no mention of ” migratory necrolytic erythema ” that is seen with glucagonoma. I also have Fitzpatrick’s atlas of clinical dermatology and and that disease is well illustrated in it. I suggest you add it to your next edition.
My wife is a retired dermatologist and I a retired plastic surgeon. We practiced together for 40 years and she always called me to see the interesting cases. As a result I learned a lot of dermatology and still kept my interest in dermatology and Internal medicine .
I highly recommend this textbook that I find most useful and enjoyable. It is a MUST have !”
Huhks “Dr. Dinulos took the helm in editing this classic clinical dermatology textbook, previously edited by the late Dr. Habif, and made it better than ever. I have used all the major dermatology textbooks (Bolognia’s, Rook’s, and Andrew’s) and have found Habif’s Clinical dermatology to be the most clinically relevant. A lot of clinical pearls and just enough information on the many dermatologic conditions to give you a good understanding of the disease, without the extraneous information that is better reserved for more detailed reference textbooks. I highly recommend this textbook.”

linmar16 “Very clear and concise. Gives you what you need to know. I particularly like the equipment list. I see one costumer explained that the online content was not working. This also happened with me but I emailed them and they responded striaght away and had it fixed within hours!! – I think its unfair to give negative feedback when you haven’t attempted to rectify the situation 🙁

I recommend as a must have to anyone starting out with botox. I never usually leave reviews but this book is great and it deserves all the sucess it gets. I have brought ALL in the series. I paid £450 for a course in botox and fillers and they didn’t even touch on half of the content in this book. The online content is an amazing bonus! After reading this book I feel more confident to undertake Botox procedures. 10/10″
