Russian Roulette? Maybe not use that one…

This book is good with one minor flaw.. there was a questionable riddle that I would not consider family friendly. See attached photo.

Wow, never bought a book with a title and content discrepancy!

The Title of this book is “Difficult Riddles for Smart Kids” but up to page 34 the book is “Grandma, I want to Hear Your Story”. Wow, never bought a book with a title and content discrepancy! Return for sure.

Great to stump Grandpa and Friends!

May 16, 2018

My father likes to come over and “torture” his grandkids with riddles. One of his favorites “What two coins makes 55 cents and one is not a nickle”……The kids get frustrated and angry with him when he finally gives in and tells them it’s a 50 cent piece and a nickle! They argue that one isn’t a nickle and he chuckles and says exactly “ONE isn’t a nickle” He did this to me growing up and now carries the tradition on with them. Well, I decided to help them out and arm them with some riddles of their own for when their Paw Paw shows up. I have a 9 yr old and a 16 yr old and they both loved this book. It gave them tons of riddles that were difficult enough to frustrate an old riddle pro! They had a great time stumping their grandfather. The riddles range in difficulty. But they are not baby riddles. So adults would enjoy this book too. I think this book would be great to use at a party as well with adults. Test your friends logical skills and see how many you can get! Great little book, totally worth every penny!

Great entertainment for my 7 and 9 years old

February 20, 2019

Got this book for my 4th and 2nd grader. So far we did Half of the 300 riddles and they love it. This is a great exercise in thinking outside of the box. Some of the riddles are a little long but most of them are just one short sentence that teaches the kids to paying attention to the question and it’s wording. This is a skill that for sure will be useful at school.
I am really happy with the purchase.

 A complete wast of money!

August 2, 2018

Neither myself or the very smart 11 year old I gave it too could understand the questions, much less answer them. Some random guy self-published a list of word problems, with no context or help given to help solve them. A complete waste of money!

No hyperlinks make Kindle version cumbersome

July 21, 2018

I am reviewing the Kindle edition specifically. Content-wise, I’m happy with the purchase, but the formatting makes this quite cumbersome to use.

There are no hyperlinks in the text connecting the riddles in the front of the book to their answers at the back of the book, so every single time you want an answer to a riddle you will have to go to the back of the book and manually find the corresponding riddle number to find the answer. Even if you bookmark the page where the answers begin, it is STILL cumbersome, as only 8-14 answers appear per page (depending on landscape or portrait mode). There are 300 riddles total.

Every other riddle book I’ve purchased on Kindle had hyperlinks connecting the riddles to their answers. I’m really confused why they wouldn’t add this feature, honestly it just seems lazy.
