Features of Fracture An Apocalyptic LitRPG Series PDF

Humanity to save. Alien threats to annihilate. Aim your spells accordingly.Fracture An Apocalyptic LitRPG Series PDF

Drew and his team are the entire counter offensive plan against the Naga. He knows that the serpents must be dealt with, but watching the Sidhe forces take the nodes near his old home and turn them violet is weighing on him. Even worse than the external threat is the pressing fact that the gathered humans are beginning to fracture into factions with competing desires.

The mana shield over the stadium was supposed to solve every one of their problems. The Naga disagreed, and their frequent skirmishes are ramping up into a constant drain on resources. Drew’s only possible response to the humans, the aliens, and the strange urban jungle appearing across the Potomac is to increase the count of his own red nodes and build up his strength; all in a race to save humanity.

As tensions rise, Drew wonders more and more if he can solve everything with a well-placed fireball.

 Patreon Butchered This Book

April 1, 2022

I adored the first book. Enjoyed the second enough to read it as Unlimited and still but it. I was excited when this came up as releasing and gave been counting down the days. And like first love, it wasn’t worth the price.

Good

1: If you liked book 2, then you’ll like this as its exactly the same book.

2: Bill was a great addition, I really liked him.

3: Gary was another great addition, really like him.

4: All the characters except one seem in their roles and if you like them before, you’ll enjoy them here.

5: Zoey was good. Until you had her betray him and be owned by another. I kinda wanted to scream at that part.

6: The Sidhe plot was good. THAT should have been you book instead of 80% bide clearing which we already had in book 2.

Bad

1: We lose Katie. I’m glad to see her go but the way of it made no sense. She’s never shown to have those issues but I guess the Patreon crowd said jump.

2: Book two was Drew gives powers to others. This book is the same. No new powers except a stupid sensing thing. No upgrade except one. NOTHING new to make the hero even a hair more interesting. But hey, EVERYONE else got multiple new powers as he gave them out like treats.

3: Hero has half a dozen upgrades. Chooses not to upgrade any of them. He has these at the BEGINNING of the book! By the end he still hadn’t done any of them. He stays at the power level he was at the end of book 2. Why? Because the author had no idea how to handle a stronger hero. Nerfed.

4: Nodes. Book two went through the nodes in detail. Combat, monster, powers, etc were all detailed. This one you get cliff notes. In true netbook format you get paragraphs that tell you what happens with no description.

5: Because if the lack of any power up, the hero gets beaten like an idiot by things he could have walked through. I found each of these fights to be grotesque. All I wanted to do was shake the idiot and tell him to upgrade. But then the author wouldn’t have his lazy story.

6: The one space scene we get is so much like the Ares scene that I yawned. It was like this whole book, devoid of anything new or interesting.

7: The officer that betrayed them and almost got them all killed is still working and doing fine. Sorry, I’m what country can a military officer try to kill another, betray his fellow man, and still keep his job?

Overall

This was a bad book, and a great first draft. Shrink the node taking to a 20% add in the Sidhe part and write from the interesting bit. That would have been a book. This is boring. Hundreds of pages of him giving out power after power after power while not upgrading. Slogging through boring mode after boring mode that the author can’t even bring themselves to describe.

When you have to produce a chapter a week for money. You don’t get time to truly write a good book. You write what you can. In this card it was book 2 again, just with all the boring parts. This is a hard pass.
