Exactly what every ‘conspiracy nut’ knows is true but can’t prove.

Agent Wilson has a new partner for this book. I miss Martinez but it works out well and she would be a bit unnecessary as it is handled well by those who are investigating. Figuring out the perpetrator in this one is really twisty – First: Is the ‘real TV’ star faking it so she can get more viewers and screen time, Second: Have the restless undead population broken the anti-violence pact, And Third: Is someone setting the local restless spirits up to take the fall for prohibited violence and murder and why? All good questions with indications that any of the three could be true.

I really loved the idea that there is a formal pact with the world wide ghost population regulating allowable actions and reciprocal actions by the living. It’s so absolutely perfectly aligned with the idea of the supernatural black ops governmental organization.

Ghosts and other strange creatures

This series just keeps getting better! In this one we have Fulcrum having to got to England and Connecticut to sort out what could be a strange ghost attack. He also needs to figure out why the ghosts would be attacking. We get to meet more agents in this story and learn more about how the salt mine operates. We also learn more about the different worlds and magical creatures that inhabit them. I loved getting to meet Clover! She is not as she appears to most people. And she has some amazing magical artifacts. She has definitely earned her name with what she does and the toys she can bring along. This is a great book for anyone who likes magic and crime stories. I am eager for the next book!

A ghost hunting show on a small network gets great reviews and copycats, so they film an episode in England, at a haunted Abbey. The English actress hired as a guest host gets attacked in her sleep-no one’s there. A month later, a small ghost hunting group has their first meeting in the same place, Buckinghamshire, England. Three hours later, one of them is dead in a disturbing fashion. The other three are confirmed to have left by train and are at their homes. The first event brought in the Salt Mine. The second means something serious is happening. Fulcrum is dispatched to England and finds that things are bad enough to call in Clover, because the issues involve the fae. More magic and this time ghosts help!
