Quick read but wanted more depth.

The book in my opinion is okay and may appeal more to a Rick Ross fan. I don’t really believe the guide to building an empire came across. He mentioned his businesses but doesn’t really go into depth about how he built them. At times the books feels more promotional. There is one partnership he spends some time on but overall I expected more.

Listen… just like he said in his book. He wrote this book to make an extra quick coin… everything he said in this book is stuff everybody says 🙄 quietly he said this in his last book on how to be successful, build a team and stay consistent chasing your dream. It was entertaining nevertheless with his jokes but I won’t buy another book unless you’re actually going to drop some jems and go in depth with your steps you took. Hate books like these.

I was inspired every second of reading this book. Let me just start with complimenting the sleeve of the book which is beautifully made. You can tell he put thought into it. Now, the writing itself is very easy to understand. He’s an excellent writer. I agree with some reviews that he never actually went in depth about HOW he came up (which I can imagine had to do with illegal activity which is why he won’t be airing his dirty laundry). However, he really gives great advice and explains how it’s ok to start small but you must have the right mindset and plan in place. The boss of bosses, I really enjoyed this book!

I really enjoyed reading Rick Ross’s writing. It was very engaging. It was a major page-turner! I found myself at times wanting to read it all in one sitting, but I resisted. The Perfect Day to Boss Up is my first effort to resurrect my book-a-week reading commitment. Before Seminary, by the challenge of mentors, I used to read-a-book-week. My mentors held that “Readers are Leaders” and that “Leaders are Readers”. As you read Rick Ross’s book, you too will experience a great push from a bonafide Boss. I just finished reading it. I’ve got e-notes throughout my e-book detailing ways to translate and implement his teachings in my life and ministry. If you really dig in deep and receive the wisdom contained in this book, you too will be compelled to make and recognize today as your Perfect Day to Boss Up. I know I have!

The quote above is one of the many quotes that I absolutely loved in this book. There were so many gems, I was highlighting almost every page! The Perfect Day to Boss Up is an insightful and eye opening book that I could not get enough of. I truly enjoyed this read and plan to buy a hard copy to have. I think Rick Ross did a great job intertwining his experiences, mistakes, and learning opportunities and showing readers and fans that success is attainable. He says, “empires are built brick by brick.” I couldn’t agree more. Looking forward to planting my seed to success. Fantastic Read!
