Six years ago: both the H and were 17. He left her holding travel vouchers to NY. They were going to look at apartments while attending college. He dumped her to join his brothers on a ski and snowboard adventure.

Present: the H is returning to his hometown from an international snowboarding outing to be the h’s brother’s best man. He knows the h will be returning from NY for the wedding and he wants a second chance. He still loves the h and wants a chance to apologize. On his way back, a woman who is a world champion snowboarder from the group hurts herself. The H and the group get her to the hospital and he leaves her a text saying it was fun but he had to run. The woman posts the note on instagram and it goes viral. The H is labeled as the world’s biggest dbag because he dumped his girlfriend in her time of need to run off to a wedding. The woman was part of a group and not his girlfriend but she doesn’t make that clear. The H later finds out that the woman is milking the post because her career as a snowboarder is over and she needs cash.

When he arrives home, he finds that the h has moved on and has brought her NY upper east side boyfriend to the wedding. He manages to break them up when he is making a play for her during rehearsal dinner. His apologies to the h start here. The h still loves the H but is very wary of the boy who didn’t take her to senior prom and who bailed on her for NY. She cannot trust him to put her first. He had a ways to go to earn her trust.

I enjoyed the book. I liked the characters. They both made mistakes…although his was bigger than hers. He had always put his brothers before her. It was part of him. He was the youngest of the boys and he wanted to be like them. He wanted to earn their respect and he sacrificed the h. The h knew he would not fit in NY but didn’t really sit with him to discuss how to make their relationship work with her in NY and him not in NY.

A big plus was that the H really was not a dbag and he did not fool around with a bunch of women in the past six years. He was celibate while working his way back to the h. He actually was very sweet and was really crazy about the h.

A recommend. One nit was the H waited six years to make his move. He didn’t even know the h had a live in boyfriend.

I’ kind of on the fence about this one. The reality is that if I were rating it based on the first 1/2 to 2/3 of the book it would get a 1 star and possibly a negative rating. Spoilers: While Finn didn’t leave her at the alter per say, he did leave her hours before their joint departure for New York. Callie goes to New York and has a plan even though her heart is broken and she remains devastated for 6 yrs…Ok that got really old. However, everyone in her life, father, brother, mother didn’t understand the level of her devastation and they all tell her to grow up. The emotional blackmail her brother uses is really unforgivable and extremely selfish. Where was their support of their sister/daughter in the previous years? You don’t get your heart broken and get over it without help soooooo…Finn dumps her for his brothers and doesn’t believe this is going to break them up…hmmmm. How stupid are you? He builds a successful career without her and firmly believes that he can win her back SIX years later…WHAT? The only redeeming thing about this book was the social experiment which frankly made me angry as it began but as it morphed I could see where it was going. So this whole time he ‘gets it’ and they r going to live happily ever after in New York, but wait for it…He does it again. As they r leaving for New York he decides to go with his brothers. For the most part these characters were childish and immature and throughout a lot of it, TSTL. I will not be reading the new one bc these books are about how a woman works so hard for what they want just to give it up in the end realizing they never wanted that to begin with. NOPE. This book had a lot of heart, hurt, sweetness, and sadness. Fin and Callie grew up together and were sweethearts from when they were 15 till they turned 17. Callie had made plans to move to New York and attend NYU with Fin. Fin at the last minute made plans to go on a trip with his father and brothers and in turn break Callie’s heart. Callie avoided coming back home for 6 years to avoid running into Fin. The heartbreak was too much for her and she made a life for herself graduating with an art degree and living with a posh and snooty boyfriend. She comes back to Wyoming for her brother’s wedding and encounters Fin. Fin grew up with extreme sports. Anything outdoorsy and sporty, Fin thrives on. It’s in his family’s blood. During a snowboarding trip in Europe, a friend of his gets hurt during their outing on the mountain. Fin makes sure that she is okay and taken to the hospital. The other people in the group agrees to help look after her because he has to get on a plane to attend the wedding. He’s the best man. He send her a text which the girl turns into a meme and Fin become’s the ‘World’s Worst Boyfriend’ to the world. He runs into Callie and his feelings for her have never gone away. Callie is it for him and he’s determined to get her to give him a second chance. Callie and Fin are both stubborn people. They both want something and they won’t give up. Callie wants a fellowship after earning her masters in art. She’s up for one till her boyfriend dumps her. The ex’s parents are bigwigs in the art community and so Callie needs to figure out how to get her name out there so she can still be in the running for this fellowship. Fin realizes that he can’t be without Callie. He gets into a scuffle and ends up working community service which happens to be at the building that Callie’s art exhibition will be housed in. Fin is absolutely sweet but is kinda dumb. I loved how much he loved Callie and never gave up on her. He keeps making the same mistakes when it comes to her. Callie is trying to make sure that her heart doesn’t break again when it comes to Fin. This book is about rediscovering oneself and each other. I’m a sucker for second chance romances and this was sweet. It had some humor thrown in with a few ‘awwwww’ moments. It was a entertaining read. Keep On Loving You PDF
