Become an extraordinary results-producing champion for humanity and yourself! In life there are two types of people. The first are those who are nice, good-hearted, and compassionate but can’t make much happen. Wouldn’t it be great if you could make things happen in a really big way but not lose your integrity?  what is a balanced life?

February 9, 2009

What is a balanced life? Being workaholic? Leaving the house before the family is up? Getting home when they’re already asleep? Never leaving for a 3-day weekend because you are afraid work or business will fall apart without you? Your spouse is, in error, thought to be a single parent because no one has ever seen you at any social or school functions? Telling yourself once you have saved up $10,000 in cash for a rainy day, then you’ll be happy? Then once you saved up $10K, then telling yourself that once you save up to $100,000 then you’ll be happy? Then hitting six-figures and then say when you hit seven-figures, then you’ll be happy? We suffer when we don’t have what we want and we suffer when we have what we want because we cannot hold on to it forever. So what is a balanced life? How can we have both success and happiness

Why don’t you have what you want?

Bryan Klemmer is an extraordinary man. His writing is not flashy but his message contains such fundamental truths as to provide a path to become healthy, wealthy and wise, but more importantly to do it with integrity and honor. This book provides a “How To” guide to those truths.
To internalize the values of this book is create in a world of chaos, a path to order, health and happiness with great honor and integrity for yourself and others you will come in contact or touch.
I highly recommend this book.

Not for everyone…but it should be

February 18, 2009

This book describes ten qualities or traits that an extraordinary person (what Brian Klemmer calls a Compassionate Samurai) should have. These qualities are described in detail. But more importantly specific instructions for how to assume these qualities are spelled out for the interested reader.
This book is not for a casual reader, and will be a waste of time for anyone not truly interested in becoming a better person. If your desire is to remain “average” then find something else to spend your time on. If, on the other hand, your desire is to make a difference in your own life and the lives of others, then this book provides a good road map to that change.

 I love this!

I bought this book on a recommendation of a friend and I love it. This book makes you want to take action in your life, to make anything happen, but it also stresses the importance of creating extraordinary relationships with yourself and those around you, and contributing what you can to help others succeed. Step by step, day by day and week by week we can incorporate the ten most important codes: commitment, personal responsibility, contribution, focus, honesty, honor, trust, abundance, boldness and knowledge. The Compassionate Samurai By Brian Klemmer PDF

 Great concepts

March 14, 2009

Conceptually, very well approached and provides a template for future leaders. Several times in the past few years, my supervisors have told me of the importance of the dispassionate and rigid approach to managing, and the need for managers to not engage the people who work for them. This book reinforces my personal belief in leading by believing the people who work for you, and showing your passion for what you do. Great ideas and well though out methods to implement them. I did not like the ongoing sales pitch toward Mr. Klemmer’s consulting business. One or two statements are fine, but toward the end they seemed self-centered and out of context. If he could have removed all refernces toward his company from the body of the book, it would have earned a more favorable review from me.
