Bonnie Worth
Bonnie Worth is one of the pen names of Kate Klimo. For many years, Kate was Vice President and Publisher of Random House Children’s Books, the one and only home of Dr. Seuss, aka Theodor Geisel. In addition to being a Random House best-selling author, he was also publisher and founder of Beginner Books, an imprint that boasts such Seuss-penned classics as The Cat in the Hat, Hop on Pop, and Green Eggs and Ham. One of the last projects Geisel worked on, in conjunction with NASA, was a non-fiction Beginner Book spin-off. Unfortunately, he died before he was able to launch the series. In her capacity as publisher, Kate picked up where Seuss left off.
With the 1999 publication of Oh, Say Can You Say Dinosaur? Kate launched The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library. Today, the series numbers more than two-dozen best-selling titles, half of which were written by Bonnie Worth. One of her last acts before stepping down as publisher from Random House, was to work with PBSKids to develop an animated television show with a natural science curriculum, based on the Learning Library. Now in its third season, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! is a hit among young children and their lucky parents and teachers.
Kate also writes the occasional Step into Reading Book as Bonnie Worth. Under her own name, Kate wrote The Dragon Keepers and the Dog Diaries for middle-grade readers and The Centauriad for young adults. Her newest book The Enchanted Dress Shop has been optioned for the screen. She lives in New Paltz, New York, with her husband and two horses.

Educational and surprisingly accurate (enough)

Given that paleontologists have uncovered new infor.ation about most dinosaurs having feathers, this book is fairly accurate. (I am a scientist so it is difficult for me to watch Jurrasic Park because of all the inaccuracies, starting with T Rex and most of the other dinosaurs living in the Cretaceous period, not the Jurrasic.) This book provides pronunciations and overview that is age appropriate, as well as accurate.

Outside of Book itself looked great until I started reading it, it is missing pages, tore out pages. Sad little boy thinks Santa gave him a book with torn out pages:(

Good book definitely a knock off or something idk who dick is and my son was pretty upset that I kept calling Nick, dick not sure where he came into the story.

Too cute! My nephew is turning 4 and he requested dinosaurs for his birthday. He loves The Cat in the Hat. Hes had some trouble with bigger words but loves dinosaurs, I can already tell just by reading it myself its perfect. Several dino names are sounded out so easily even I now know some new ones! Haha. I cant wait for him to see it.

My child and I love all the books in this series. They are educational and entertaining. I feel good reading him these books because, you feel like you are teaching your child valuable information that might make their schooling a little easier. He enjoys it because, the absolutely amazing illustrations make it enjoyable to view and the playful wording and scenarios make the book engaging. I’m so glad that someone designed this series. Doing workbooks throughout the summer is pretty tedious after a while; regardless of the quality of the book and when one has newborn twins at home, multiple outings throughout the week are just not practical. So this series of books is a great way to entertain and inform my 4 year old of the world around him without needing to leave the house every day.
