I recommend book to anyone and everyone. I’d say at least 90% pertains to everyone, 5% government employees (military included) and the other 5% just military. Both “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and this book are great starters for everyone to begin there investment ventures. It’s great how the author goes into just enough detail for you to start formulating a clear plan with EXACT numbers in mind, but not too much detail that beginners would stop reading out of intimidation of the sheer volume of information. 10 out of 10 would read again! Perfect financial primer for all, not just military

This is a wonderful primer that should be mandatory reading at first level Professional Military Education. Chris Lehto shows his depth and breadth of knowledge on all things finance. As a real estate investor and failed stock market player, I wish I would have read this book in 1998. Lehto shows you how to not follow the herd and make smart decisions instead. The first person perspective and real-world examples make the book relatable despite the potential dense subject matter.

Commanders take note: Too often young military members make poor decisions when they bring home their first paycheck. If everyone would take a breath and read Military Millionaire I think we would have a lot more financial independence and less Non Commissioned Officers on food stamps. Recommend making this a mandatory discussion item in all organizations with young military members.

Beyond the military, this is a great primer for soon-to-be college or HS graduates who are about to enter the work-force or anyone who is soon to be faced with disposable income for the first time.
I look forward to the next installment for Lehto.

Great starter finance book for the soldier.

Just finished this book about an hour ago and I’m pretty satisfied with the content. I’m currently serving In the Army and this book would’ve been the perfect financial primer for starting my military career. While it would’ve been nice if the author had delved into other military-centric financial perks, such as SCRA benefits, I think he does an awesome job of presenting a path towards financial independence in a plain language actionable plan. The only reason for the the four star rating instead of 5 is that the link to his website is dead. Great practical and actionable advice for anyone striving for financial independence

Military Millionaire is a great, practical strategy for anyone who is interested in reversing the usual state of working for money into the ideal state of getting your money working for you. Even though it is geared toward military service men and women, the strategies and advice given in the book are appropriate for anyone who desires to secure financial independence by the time they reach retirement age. This is not a get rich quick scheme by any means and, in fact, the author describes it as a get rich slow program with pretty much guaranteed results. The basic premise of the book is to pay yourself first while you are working (i.e. make it your top priority to save x% of your income) by eliminating non-essential expenses in your life, and then accumulating income-producing assets (stocks, bonds, real estate) that will pay you for years to come just for owning them. Similar principals have been discussed in many investment books over the years but I’ve never come across one that is written for the individual who is just getting started and includes such a direct, practical, actionable plan as Chris Lehto presents in Military Millionaire. This book should be required reading for everyone before they enter the working world and collect their first paycheck!
