 Excellent book. Would recommend

April 19, 2019

I thoroughly enjoyed the material in this book. Even though I don’t consider this book to be life-changing, I do feel it has given me new tools and a new perspective when it comes to dealing with stress and the way I view the world. I recommend this book to anyone dealing with stress or anxiety that is willing to make the effort to change

 Good primer

A decent intro to CBT for novices. The ABC framework is easy to understand, remember, and apply. And the case studies are good examples to draw from. A quick and easy primer.
 A decent intro to CBT

I think this was a good start to CBT but felt that the second half of the book wasn’t as good. I would have loved to see more attention on CBT/REBT.

 For people new to CBT

Honestly, thought this may add to what I already know about CBT, but it didn’t. This book is definitely for people who have never heard or practiced CBT and is elementary in it’s approach to implement CBT practices to your life.
 Great easy read

Read in one day and it was filled with useful info to use now and into the future. Simply reading helped me put myself in the place of each example and show me what I should and shouldn’t do. A big Thank you to the author!A Practical Guide to CBT for Work PDF
 Great Introduction

We are our own harshest critics. Great introduction on tools to help view yourself and your work world in a less harsh, and more relaxed and positive way. It isn’t too long, and easy to read. Lots of references are provided at the end for a deeper drive.

 Recommended for experienced investors

Everyone wants to understand why the present-day stock market acts the way it does, The author uses his many years of investing experience, and his study of subjects like game theory, physics and chaos theory, to attempts an explanation.

Throughout history, there have been many financial bubbles, going back to the Tulip Bubble of the 1600’s. Over time, the life of these bubbles has gotten shorter and shorter. The author asserts that we are currently in the biggest bubble of our lifetime. The 2007 Real Estate Bubble and the current Bitcoin Bubble are part of a much bigger bubble. No bubble lasts forever. When will this bubble pop? Read the book.

This is a very specialized book; it is not a Beginner’s book. It is different in that it explores fractals, evolution, and the writings of Terence McKenna, Ray Kurzweil and James Joyce. For experienced investors who want an idea as to what is coming, here is a very good place to start.
