Look but don’t stick

Although Derian’s taste level and therefore his image collection rises above the rest in this category, his pages are all 2 sided, meaning that only every other page contains stickers. The host pages are backed with the slick sticker-friendly material, meaning they can’t hold any kind of adhesive and rendering them useless. It is a little heartbreaking to fall in love with a page only to realize you can’t use it – and that can happen 50% of the time with this book.

The content of this book is exceptional. Only down side is the stickers tear very easily when peeled from the book.

For any sticker enthusiast who also loves gorgeous imagery and art, this is a MUST! I spotted this book on a shelf in a chain bookstore and thumbed through it. The pages are thick, not shiny, with beautiful images on the backside of each sticker page. Just beautifully bound and wonderful to look at. I almost don’t want to use the stickers because the pages are like works of art. Highly recommend! And beat the price of the chain store and made this a great purchase.

Inconvenient for collaging

I don’t know why this book gets such raves. The subjects are repetitive and each sticker has the “halo”/outline of the subject. Someone else mentioned this as well. If you want to get a sharp, neat cut for a collage, you have to cut the sticker out, which means you sacrifice the image behind it. Very few fun or inventive images.

This book is such a joy for the eyes! Every single page is a little work of art, I’m so happy I bought it. I’m definitely buying a second copy to actually use the stickers and keep this one intact.

Si tratta di un libro di stickers, non sapevo nemmeno che ne esistessero per adulti, finché non mi sono imbattuta in questo.
Ci sono stickers per tutti i gusti, dalle figure geometriche ai volti, dagli animali alle lettere dell’alfabeto, veramente un’infinità di adesivi per tutti i gusti.
A che cosa serve? non saprei, a parte il piacere di guardare le bellissime raffigurazioni l’unica applicazione pratica che mi viene in mente è quella di utilizzare uno di questi sticker per impreziosire un pacco regalo, o per decorare la pagina di un taccuino tipo sketchbook, o un diario.
Sono molto belli, le raffigurazioni sono curate e i disegni sono davvero stupefacenti.
E’ un libro “per intenditori”, per amanti del genere, per chi ha voglia di perdersi nella magia di una bella immagine.
Finora non ho trovato il coraggio di staccarne nemmeno uno, ma li userò, perché è un peccato lasciarli lì.
Consigliato, più come idea regalo che per sé, è uno di quegli oggetti che raramente uno compra per sé, ma quando vengono regalati stupiscono e fanno piacere. A me piace da matti. Promosso con 5 stelle.

I thought this was a beautiful sticker book. So far I actually haven’t used any of the stickers. They are just so beautiful. You could use them as sticker or even as a sort of artwork on boxes etc. They were rather expensive but all John Derian’s work in expensive. I am happy I bought this book. It was a gift to myself for Christmas. It arrived in good condition.
