Another cut, paste and resize digitally created book.

The pictures are OK, not great. Some are distorted because when they were playing around with making them on the computer they obviously did not scale them correctly and so a couple have parts of the design squashed from side to side.

They took several ‘original’ illustrations for each flower type and then just used a computer to copy, paste, flip, resize and move them around. Many of the pages they didn’t even bother to erase the overlap lines so they literally are outlines laid one over the other in some areas.

This trend of copy and paste is not new, and some books that use it are not actually bad. This book is not one of them. IMHO, if you are going to use copy, paste, flip and resize to quickly make a coloring book, at least you need to take the time to clean up the over lap areas.

Making the back of the page a solid black ink does not keep things from bleeding through to the next page if you use certain markers – you still need to use a barrier page or cut the pages out – they should never say that the black back keeps things from bleeding through. I knew this the case when I bought the book, but noting it here for those who may not.

Paper quality is not the worst I have seen in a coloring book, but definitely not anywhere near the best.

Overall, there are better books out there with better flower illustrations – and some of them are actually unique hand drawn pictures, not cut and paste compilations. I can’t give this more than 2 stars, and that is being generous.

Way too much ink and not enough room left for someone to color the flowers. Thinner lines of ink and way less detail would have suited me fine. That’s just my opinion though. Maybe other people like to color images that don’t allow the person coloring the opportunity to do a lot of shading. Paper seemed to be a good quality and the artwork was nice. The last page of my book had ink smudges all over it.

Way too much dark ink in the designs.

Sadly these designs contain way too much dark ink and shading and the paper is flimsy. The designs themselves are very nice, but the excessive line shading makes it impossible to shade and highlight your own coloring. The lines would show through all of my colored pencils and markers. This would be fine for a kid or just to simply color inside the lines, but not to approach it as a piece of art. I’m disappointed and am returning it.

So I’m using sharpie markers. At first I thought this was going to be like old crappy coloring book. You know like an old coloring book Thin pages horrible saturation. but I was totally wrong the saturation is so beautiful it almost looks like it was painted at least with a sharpie markers anyways, it is so evenly saturated that you can’t even tell whether it’s paint or marker as long as you color that all at once you know you can’t stop wait 10 minutes and go begin where you left off because then yes you will see that where you stopped and began but if you continuously color it’s gorgeous. I need to know what kind of paper this is made of if anyone could tell me that would be great

I adore this coloring book! There’s no bleeding through the pages. It also has a page on the left side that names the flowers. It’s flowers are so beautiful and easy to blend. You won’t be sorry if you buy this book!

This book is among my very favorite coloring books, wished there were more like this one. The drawings are beautifully done, best of all, there are no pictures which are just “fillers” each drawing is very real like done. I loved this book very much. Will buy this book again just so I can color the plants a second time in a different color.

The only complaint I have is that the pages are not perforated so to tear them out and color them which is what I do it tears into the design and I have been unable to get many designs out without some damage to the inner part of the image. Other than that the designs are nice and look really good when colored and the pages are black on the back so there is no bleed thru.
