I recommend this book for anyone who knows the perils and pitfalls of modern ventilators or is a student soon to meet them. This book is especially apt given the recent tsunami of ventilated patients. Never has there been a better time for such a well written and illustrated book.

This is a book covering Arterial Blood Gases – a form of medical lab work that nurses have to do on occasion. This guide goes through all the procedures and terminology related to this specific lab work. I don’t work in that field myself but it’s not hard to see where this would be useful. Frankly, I didn’t think you’d be able to get this on – even though it makes perfect sense for an online bookstore to stock textbooks…maybe I’m too used to seeing fiction. Anyways, if this is something you need or you’re interested/curious then take a look at it; you may learn something interesting.

I bought this book for my brother who is training to be a nurse. He studying on ABG, and this was a great resource for him. According to him, to book layout was great and he enjoyed the questions after each chapter. It helps to reinforce what he learned.

Love the pop quizzes throughout. Very helpful for comprehension. “ABG Interpretation for Nurses” is great resource not only for nurses, but for the rest of the medical field, too. This book aims to explain arterial blood gases. These are some of the most complex and difficult lab interpretations in all of medicine. Very well researched. I learned a lot.
