 Funy and very instructive

At first, I didn’t resonate with Kelvin unique style of telling stories and sharing knwolage. But after giving g s second chance I started to read it, really getting the knowledge behind the funny way to write the author has.

Aside his style, Kelvin will deliver good advice in short articles, also he give good books recomendations. I already bought some of them.

I recommend this book for newbies and pros in marketing business or enterperneurs looking to understand marketing for their own business.

Kelvin makes extra $ by putting a bunch of his emails into a book. There’s lots of good advice here but some repeated information – so you don’t get 81 different ways, you get 81 days worth of emails that may help your online marketing. Extremely conversational in tone, but overly self promotional. Glad I didn’t spend much on this book. But got some good reminders nonetheless.

I have no idea how I stumbled onto this refreshing email marketer, Kevin Dorsey. But he’s got a way to get his message across like not too many others. It’s very entertaining so I don’t have to feel the friction of the read so much. And the messages are well-worth hearing and implementing. Coming from an email marketing background myself, I know he knows what he’s talking about walking the walk – but not just talking. He’s a doer and knows how to make a shift in your approach and I am taking notes. This guy is above the standard and while there’s tons of books on email /online marketing, Kevin’s stuff is a series of keepers. I am looking into his other offerings as well and I am pretty jaded on this stuff. Rather than picking out a list of reasons why this book is worth it, I think Kevin is the main reason because whatever he’s explaining you’re getting a new clear picture you can pick up and apply. In fact, I was doing some copy writing while I had the book open and one example led me to a whole new section to add I would have not thought of at that moment. So get ready for some “Ah Ha” moments all throughout Kevin’s writings.

 A great book for reading in short spurts

Short snippets that make for a quick read, but easy to put down and pick up when you have a few moments to spare. Most of the ideas are not new, but the author has an “interesting” way of presenting them. Some of his quotes are amusing and then he relates them to what we need to do as online marketers. I also learned that readers habits change when they get online, making the copywriting tricks I learned many years ago in need of updating. Reinforces that I should print out copy when it is going to be published in hard copy format – online copy needs to be read online. I have not even finished reading it yet!
