➤ This “love” triangle is taking waaay too long, three books in, one of the main couples still hasn’t kissed yet and Tory is still playing around with Caleb, do I want to see that? Nope, not at all and to me, her giving into these games with Caleb seems incredibly weak. So she’s able to forget about what they’ve done when it’s Caleb but not when it’s Darius? I know Caleb TECHNICALLY didn’t have anything to do with the drowning but he watched and did nothing to help or save her which is just as bad as planning or doing the actual thing imo.

Just like in book three I skipped over all their (sex) scenes together. It also really got on my nerves how often Tory referred to each one of the heirs as “stupidly hot”. 🙄

➤ Oh, how the tides have turned, it started out with me favoring Tory but now I love Darcy a whole lot more. Can’t stand Tory right now. I mean, I like that she’s making it hard for Darius and doesn’t forget what he has done to her but I’m angry because she’s guilty of traitorous body syndrome when it comes to Caleb.

I know she’s just toying with him and it’s nothing serious but by toying with him rather than with Darius it feels like Caleb is superior to Darius which he shouldn’t be because he’s not the H damn it. Am I making sense? It just doesn’t sit right with me. I like my heroes stronger than any other, tougher and just overall better than anyone else. I’d find it more bada§§ if she was toying with him and tossed him aside after, just like Geraldine did with Max but Tory just keeps coming back for more so nope, not bada§§ at all.

I mean, I don’t really hate Caleb, I just hate how he stands in the way of ToryDarius. The enemies to lovers between T&D is realistic no doubt, but my impatient butt can’t take it how LONG it takes for them to at least KISS.

➤ DarcyOrion’s romance on the other hand is simply PERFECT. The pace was PERFECT, the way they came together was PERFECT… I love everything about them.
Orion is so WHIPPED for Darcy, I love his sweet and playful side that he only shows to her. So different from his a§§h*le professor facade. The jealousy and possessiveness is freaking HOT.

Orion & Darcy are my favorite couple right now, seriously they are so unbearable, I can’t take these two UGH.

➤ I love the twins’ bond and the one between Darius and Orion!

➤ Loved the scene where the twins saw the guys perform blood magic because FINALLY something exciting happened that moved the actual plot forward. Because 1627 pages into the series and we’re still not done with the bullying?? 😪

Renaming this series Diary of the Bullied

This series had the promise of being epic. Instead, it’s an overdone storyline of childish teenagers with 1. magic normally useless until they need to save the bullies trying to pretty much kill them 2. adult tendencies carried out with said bullies 3. and an overwhelming habit and number of scenes of the MCs epically failing at not being bullied despite being the most powerful magically. No way I can do this for 8 books with not only the bullying gone wild but the back to back pages of narration, the MCs lusting after extremely vicious bullies working up to murdering them for none other than power 3. and the character thoughts that are out of control. Like kill yourself out of control. The poor main characters are simply masochistic and need a swift ending however they can get it….and so do I.
