Jasmine Bhullar is an actress, internet personality and content creator best known for her daily livestreams at twitch.tv/thatbronzegirl as well as the many RPG productions she’s been part of. She’s not only an experienced tabletop RPG player, but a skilled Game Master as well. She got her start on Geek & Sundry, which led her to play the infamous “Beryl the Brutal” on Relics and Rarities. She’s also the creator, host and GM of Shikar, a new D&D 5th Edition game on Twitch. When she’s not reading science fiction novels, Jasmine enjoys creating video game, RPG and comic book content.

John Stanko is an associate professor of graphic design at University of South Florida at St. Petersburg. After working as a designer and art director for over nine years, he earned his MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. Some of his clients include TOR books, Nightshade books, Sony Online, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Fantasy Flight Games, Upper Deck and Star Wars.

Good resource for a DM. Many of the names are a bit on the silly side—which is ok if that is what you are going for. If not you can always change the names to suit you. Was a bit confused with one description in particular wherein a NPC was referred to as “they” but figured it was just a bit of virtue signaling after re-reading the entry and verifying that the NPC wasn’t possessed or had multiple personalities.

This is chock full of amazingly useful tables and ready made NPCs

I bought the random encounters guide before this and loved it. That one has quite a bit of usefulness. However, this one might be even more useful. For example, this book has tons of random tables that will help you create random NPCs that will actually have life to them. The premade NPCs are also super amazing. I will be inserting a few into my campaign for sure. The 3 adventures they put in are also pretty large and are more than a one shot for sure. Overall, get this. By far the best resource for NPC creation I’ve come across.

It’s decent

Pros: Very good tool in helping new dms see how things can be in the games they run, and also how npcs could be built. Quest builder tool was very nice, same with npc builders.
Cons: not big on the names they use feel like I’m still having to make names. some sections Needed more characters then other sections.
In summary I think this book is more for new dms to help them get a idea of what they can do. Older dms if you want a little more source or a refresher on character building or to have quick npcs made then try this book out. I had to give it 3 stars since it just doesn’t feel like it helped me out as much as I wanted it to.
