Playful energy with direct, no nonsense answers!

First off I must say, their energy is playful but also direct. I connected to it instantly and enjoyed getting to know it for last day.
The box came open without any plastic wrap on it. The box is nice and well made. I love the colors.
The card stock is also sturdy and well made, it is easy to shuffle. The cards themselves have a velvety type texture which I really enjoy.
The suits of Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles have been replaced with Candles, Needles, Potions and Presents. The artwork being Nightmare before Christmas is also very different. I personally find this makes it harder for me as I have trouble connecting it with the RW deck that I learned tarot on.
Example:
4 of swords is just 4 Needles on a card instead of a person resting.
This to me is a personal opinion so I’m not faulting the deck for it. I only want to inform everyone incase it’s not your thing either.
The book is really cute and helpful. There are upright and reverse meanings along with the Fools Journey and some tarot spreads in the back.
All in all a nice little deck that I will definitely be using around Halloween for my clients. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to expanding my practice with it.

Partially awesome.

As others have stated, the deck is partially great. The Major Arcana cards all have wonderful illustrations that really resonate with the film. Then you get to the Minor Arcana. There are some awesome ones with lovely illustrations but there are also quite a few cards that are totally disappointing. For example, the 4 & 7 of Needles are just piles of needles. Nothing else. All they had to do was follow the basic images from Traditional Tarot decks & stick Jack or someone in there with the needles but I believe they were rushing for a pre-Halloween release & just hurried through the remaining cards & gave up finishing the illustrations. Not cool. Just ruins the deck because it feels half finished & that sucks.

Partial Pip Deck!

I preordered this and waited forever to get it. I happened to be eating lunch when the deck arrived. Someone had posted a YouTube deck walk through. I watched the video and was so excited when I saw the cute Majors and then there’s the Minors. Part of them are pips. The court cards are illustrated and some of the minors. It’s like they ran out of time and only illustrated the easy ones. I could have waited another couple of months for them to finish the deck. I didn’t even open my new deck. I processed an return and sent it back. Very disappointed! My suggestion is to spend the extra money and order The Dark Mansion. It’s not Tim Burton but it’s along the same lines and the cardstock is fabulous.
