Surprise Ending !

I couldn’t put this book down. All of the “who done it” guesses I came up with were wrong ! I enjoyed the authors storytelling skills and applaud the lack of profanity use by her characters, so prevalent in books and film now. I will definitely put her on my list of authors I want to read more books from.

Not bad until the end when it gets totally nonsensical and unbelievable. Too many loose ends and totally unrealistic. This would never happen in real life.

I don’t like spoilers so I won’t give any away. I enjoyed the twists and the turns. I was surprised by the final twist in this book. I think if you like suspense, you will enjoy this one. I highly recommend it.

Don’t go off to a motel room with one, either, especially when a serial killer is on the loose and ready to strike!
Ivy, the protagonist of this story, is not the brightest bulb. Thrillers need main characters that have, at the very least, basic common sense!

Wow what a great book. Many twists to this which I loved. Keeps you guessing! Great storyline with an interesting ending I didn’t see coming ! A must read!

I love a book that I think about until I can get back to its pages and makes me audibly gasp while reading and this is one of them! I flew through and it kept me guessing until the end which I did NOT see coming! I’ve read all of Elle Marr’s thrillers and this one is my absolute favorite. I love seeing her stories come to life and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Ivy Hon is a young woman who adopted as a baby. Suddenly afflicted with a mystery debilitating illness she submits her DNA for genetic analysis. She’s more than a bit surprised to be approached by an FBI agent in a cafe who tells her that the results have been uploaded to a national database and the Bureau have seen her results before she has. More surprising,and shocking,he reveals that she shares the DNA of a serial murderer, “The Full Moon Killer” and asks Ivy if she’d be prepared to help track him. On checking the database herself Ivy discovers a cousin and decides it’s time to meet her blood family……….. and discover which of them has a penchant for homicide.
That’s the beginning of a journey that takes Ivy to the small town of Rock Island , Washington to discover her roots and get some answers about her adoption. Most family reunions don’t also involve a quest to discover which of the new-found relatives is a serial killer and Ivy’s investigations cause ripples that lead her into danger. There’s more than a touch of Twin Peaks about Rock Island and its inhabitants, not least Ivy’s new found relatives and their secrets.
This is quite a hard book to review without spoilers, there’s so much going on that links to the final outcome. There are red herrings,twists and shocks ,I was impressed with the big reveal then realised that there were several more chapters to go and I’d been suckered by author Ellie Marr once again. As Ivy investigates the countdown to the next full Moon,and potentially the next murder, approaches the list of potential suspects increases rather than decreases.
I really enjoyed this book,it’s clever and quirky with it’s cast of often rather strange characters and an involving plot line. A great read.
