I didn’t read this book, I absorbed it. I couldn’t put it down. Written in an authentic, reliable, and descriptive voice, I will now be checking out this author’s other novels.

Thrilling Thriller

What a ride the author takes you on! It’s easy to put yourself in the shoes of the single mom trying to do her best raising a curious 12 year old. Loved how the main characters (mom and son) interacted with others in the community. I’ve never read anything by this author, but I’m glad I did and look forward to reading more of her books!

Good but not great

I got this as my April Good Reads selection. It was ok, but I am glad I didn’t pay for it. The was little description in the book so it was hard to visualize characters and settings. Motivations were unclear. And I hate the convenient plot point of a completely unrelated situation all of a sudden becoming related to another plot so we get one big solution.

Maybe these types of books should come with a label staying offensive materials to people of certain views. I’m sure this would had been a good book had the author not tried so hard to be so woke. Got just far enough to know that if you are a Trump supporter than you are a dummy and a bully. Yeah, no thank you. Need to remember to read the negative reviews to really know what these types of books are really and truly about.

A dark suspenseful read

I found the first part of this a little slow the character Lily was so in her own head I would be annoyed with her. The book did pick up and I enjoyed it in the end . The author did a great job of thing all the loose ends together.

Leftist! nobody should care about a twelve-year-old’s sexual preference, Trump supporters in middle school, BLM, defunding police, had absolutely nothing to do with the storyline! Just in there to create more division!
