One of my all-time favorite series!

Josie Quinn, Lisa Regan’s fabulous detective, has herself a new partner of sorts in this novel… Normally paired with an incredible supporting cast of Noah, Gretchen, or even Mett at times, in Watch Her Disappear, Josie is paired with the Chief… and all the baggage and feelings that go along with it. Initially, there are called to the local high school to investigate the death of a student, but no one at the school seems to know her. And then, the Chief takes Josie to his garage where he’s been working on a very similar case for many years. And, this one has very painful family ties. The dynamic between Josie and the Chief is outstanding… Ms. Regan wrote the dialog between the two so realistic, and at times painful. You will not be able to put this novel down. It’s such a fantastic read… this is one of my all-time favorite series!

Another fantastic entry in the Josie Quinn series…finally a look into Chief Chitwood’s past!! One of my favorite things about this series is the dynamic background/secondary characters…they feel like fully realized people instead of just background noise. I love how we have gotten to know more and more about each of the side characters as the series has progressed…very good “world-building” this one is a very fast read as you don’t want to put it down. Twists and turns abound as you go on the roller-coaster that is Josie Quinn’s world!! Can’t recommend this series enough!

I run out of ways to describe just how good this series is. Each book is fresh and adds a new element to Josie Quinn and her crew. This time the story focuses on the Chief. Chitwood is a deep guy who has harbored a lot of pain for most of his life. He allows Josie a glimpse into his past and his pain when a body turns up on prom night but the the team can’t seem to track her down. I was amazed at the elaborateness of the plot, the dead ends the author sent me down, until finally the answer became apparent.

Lindsey and her pals decided to head outside and discuss what they should do. Unfortunately when they headed to the theater in the cellar of the auditorium they found something none of them would ever forget.
In the Detective Josie Quinn series #14 we find the detective crew going back twenty five years to solve several cold cases. All were similar with one in particular involving Chief Bob Chitwood. At times it seemed like the current case would end up being another baffling cold case aging in the files. Regan’s Quinn novels are all excellent suspense, the reader never finds the solution transparent. Watch Her Disappear will be published on April 12, 2022 by Bookouture Publishing. I appreciate their allowing me to read and review this latest Lisa Regan title. It is an unstoppable chronicle of action and edgy series of events. Fans of mystery and suspense need to include this in their spring reads. Enjoy!
