Get it – you won’t regret it!

This is an awesome reference book! I especially love the online access that comes with it. As a PMHNP student about to graduate, I will use this as one of my primary resources. I wish I would have had this book from the beginning of my program. I always use the reviews as a guide and I couldn’t pass up giving a big thumbs up for anyone wanting a reliable, but quick and easy reference for clinical psychiatry! Get it – you won’t regret it. I love it already and just got it today.

Pretty comprehensive but missing DSM5 diagnostic tables.

The new edition is much thinner than the prior version even though it has more pages. Paper is thinner but has a glare, straining the eyes. It fits in a large pocket. It is pretty comprehensive for a pocketbook, enough so to make it useful for everyday clinical reference on the wards and in the office. What I really find to be a shortcoming of this edition is that the publisher no longer included DSM CRITERIA TABLES, a great omission. They also omitted the DSM reference pages at the end of the book in this edition, so you have to carry a second booklet for the DSM5diagnostic criteria and for diagnosis numbers. This makes the book much less useful.

As a clinician I need to at times to review material when I find a situation with a client this book covers mostly everything I need. This one it is recommended to every student, professional LMSW-LCSW-LSW-LMHC, PhD and Psychiatrist it really spell things out great.
