I bought this thinking it would be a useful, quick reference as a child psychiatrist…however the information is quite basic and is covered better in the other Stahl’s Prescribers guide that is not specific to CAP. This edition is missing several frequently-used medications and does not extend into several agents that are gaining traction such as LAIs. Disappointed that I bought this, but it will match well with the other books on the shelf I suppose.

I love Stahl’s reference books, and have used his adult book in this series for many years. Unfortunately, I found this book surprisingly limited in scope. While the most major psychotropics are covered, I can probably name a dozen or two that I commonly prescribe to children that are not covered in this book. I am hoping that the next edition will be significantly expanded.
