Swoony Hilarious romance perfection

I love a grumpy hero paired with a sunshiny heroine. Ace and Addy are perfect together. Ace is the grumpy uber responsible oldest of 5 boys and a fireman in Auburn Hill. He has dated almost all the eligible woman in town but never goes on second dates. Addy is the complete opposite, a free spirited forest loving yoga teacher. Ace and Addy have been enemies since kindergarten when Ace destroyed Addy’s flower crown. A bare chested fire incident starts Ace and Addy on their journey to their HEA and co-leading a class pushes their romance into the fast lane. The book does a phenomenal job of taking us on the journey of Ace and Addy as they struggle to transition from their individual fears and insecurities into learning to trust and depend on each other. The story has plenty of steamy scenes, sweet moments, stupid choices, laughter, crazy and quirky townspeople, and simmering and overwhelming feelings, all wrapped up in swoony heart squeezing love. The story was well written with relatable characters with depth and an engaging storyline that made me feel all the things. I’ll definitely keep reading this series.

In the town of Auburn Hill, better known as Hell, Addy Bammingford is the free spirit, vegan, oil/salves and natural remedies pushing, yoga teacher. A hippie through and through and the one person in town she’s not friendly with is Ace Hellman, the super-hot, rule stickler firefighter.
Ace is the oldest of 5 brothers and, after his father left the family when he was only 6, he’s been taking responsibility for everything in his path, from his younger brothers, to every single citizen of Hell and hence his reputation as the town hero. But he is also known as “one date Ace” because he never goes out with the same girl twice.
After a series of events unexpectedly bring Addy and Ace together, their banter will morph into an undeniable attraction and the relationship will bloom between them. But Hell is a small town with a huge gossip mill and interference will run from all sides to make their relationship harder than their own issues already have and they’ll have to work through Ace’s childhood baggage and inability to let others help him as well as Addy’s issues with her free loving and weed dealing parents.
Grumpy as Hell is fresh, fun and romantic. A great story with loving characters and the wonderful backdrop of a small town filled with weird neighbors that will make you laugh, smile and cringe along the process.4 stars
