He’s made it clear we’re in the friend zone and whatever feelings he had for me were a passing thing for him, while mine keep growing like a Chia pet on a humid summer day in the midwest. Unruly, and apparently pointless.

So, now I’m resigned to get Trevor out of my system once and for all.

If only Trevor would see me as more than a friend … But, unless he shows me otherwise, I’m going to have to do what it takes to move on.

3.5 stars, really long long wait to the HEA

the story and romance was good. Very enjoyable but was a little bit too long for me. The book had such a slow progression of events that I was getting really impatient. Thing is I’m not an impatient reader. They just took like 94% of the book for anything real to happen. So the HEA felt like forever coming which made it not as sweet.

They were just the perfect couple but extremely afraid of losing their friendship if things went south.

Very cute, funny and I loved every minute. Friends to lovers, dual POV, secret crush, small town, dating app, everything you would want in a love story!

Trevor is my favorite and he is what every girl wants as a best friend and in a love interest. Lexi isn’t perfect but she is perfect for Trevor and that is all that matters. I had a smile on my fave ever time Trevor teased or pushed Lexi into flustered territory. It could have been easy to have a big uncomfortable reveal at the end where they fight and I am so glad the author did not take it there. Trevor and Lexi’s secret crush on each other is easy going and just positive all around.

I read in Kindle Unlimited but will be purchasing a physical copy because this is definitely a book that will be reread multiple times.

Hilarious + sweet, the perfect Romcom recipe

Savannah Scott is brand new to me, I didn’t know what to expect when picking up this Romcom. If you’re like me, just know you’ll be having lots of laughs and quite the butterfly dance in your stomach.
Typically friends to more isn’t the trope I go for. And there were times during the first half of this novel that I wanted to shake both Lexi and Trevor and tell them to OPEN YOUR EYES. But I kind of want to do that with a lot of people in real life too, so it fits reality. What makes up for that darn blindness is the story’s voice. SO funny. I cracked up laughing several times and I don’t typically laugh out loud while reading. Usually it’s a smirk and a quick “hah.”
If you’re looking for something that will make you happy and needing a weight lifted off your shoulders, this is for you. It’s sweet, it’s a clean romance, and you’ll be ready for book two. I need Rob and Laura!!!Also, Savannah, if you’re reading this, my favorite contemporary trope is Single Dad…. I’m ready for more Savannah Scott stories.
