What happened to editing?

This book has useful information for my master’s level course in Evaluation, but the reader must be somewhat of a sleuth to find the gold. This book contains more misspellings, truncated words, extra letters in words, and, in one case, a demonstration of an incorrect solution to a mathematical equation (which makes understanding the content extremely challenging, if one had no prior knowledge base) than I have ever encountered before. Instructors, do NOT assign the 5th edition of this book until you verify the editing has been revised. Students, get ready, you’re in for a challenge in deciphering the puzzle that is this text. (Test page? there are many, but you can look at p. 99, p. 184 and many others. Style is also not consistent.)

I purchased this book for a Master’s Nursing education program. I have never seen so many misspelled words in my entire career in one book. I paid 50.00 for a Master’s level coursebook that appears to be written by a child. I am incredibly disappointed. I hope Springer Publishing can replace the book without misspelled or missing words.

This was a required text for my online MSN course. I ordered it in February and it is now April. The book is falling apart. Pages 177 to 256 have completely separated from the binding. The rest of the pages have mostly separated, but are still glued together. My class ends in 3 weeks and I will be discarding this book at that point.

How this book is on it’s fifth edition and still contains such blatant typos is beyond me. This textbook was required for one of my masters in nursing courses, and I almost cannot believe it. I attached only a few pictures, but there are typos on almost every page. If you aren’t required to buy this book don’t!
