So so disappointed

Another deck I waited months for. I ordered April 7th and received them today! Only to open them with (great packaging btw) and have two cards bent. They won’t last when shuffling. Cards are so so then and cheap material. Art and characters to the titles in the deck are perfect. But overall quality is NOT what it should be. This is nothing more but a collector item like the last deck. I want to USE them not collect. Even the book quality is poor. So disappointed 😞
Great for the collection, not so much for everyday use

I waited over a YEAR for this, and I’m stoked to finally have it in my hands.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful deck – the art style and characters assigned are (chef’s kiss motion) BUT. Quality wise? Definitely more for show than a main deck to use.
The cards are very thick, and weirdly textured yet slick? They aren’t easy to shuffle. You can’t easily slide shuffle them because they want to stick, and the stiffness prevents you from using the “playing card” shuffle method. I have a feeling if you aren’t careful it’ll be easy to put a perma bend or even scratch some of the design.
Can’t complain though, a big corporation hopping on the growing popularity of the occult? I was expecting worse honestly. The guidebook is actually not your vague cringey descriptor either – it’s decent and worded in a very easy to understand (and learn!) way for what the card itself represents.
While I do wish they didn’t push the “destiny” portion I will applaud for it not being crudely overdone, and the most important word (to me) is used – insight. Just another nice way to talk to your reflection in the mirror and be provided something to stroke your thought process on an issue. Less ooga booga magic future and more practical. Love it.
I’ll probably use it occasionally for a reading, but TLDR: the material used doesn’t give the cards a lasting lifetime of daily use
On an entirely different topic – are yalls Hierophant cards also including that blatant misspell? I can’t find it as a joke in zootopia so I think it’s literally just. Something that happened lmfao (no fault to the illustrator, 78 designs is hard work!)
My expectations were so high

I wanted this deck to be one of my favorites so bad. I think my expectations were so high it was a big fall back down to reality but it’s not terrible by any means.
I’ll start with the negatives and then get into the positives.
Negatives
Poor card stock and cut. These cards don’t feel good in my hand. They are super thin and the cut is very jagged. I was really disappointed with some of the characters they chose for the major arcana. About 60% were spot on and about 40% could have been picked better. The minor arcana definitely could have more thought put into it. It looks like they were spending time on this then just rushed to meet a deadline.
Positives
The colors and imagery are BEAUTIFUL!!! Props to the artists who worked on this. The theme is so fun and I hope they do one for three good Disney characters. I would love to see an Oracle deck for both as well for a good Disney collection. The major arcana that i felt were spot on were amazing. Being a fan of Disney I know the personalities of the Disney villains so it puts a very interesting spin on the readings. Overall I’m happy with the deck.
I wish they would have not rushed production and maybe collaborated with some more people because i feel the idea for this deck is incredible. I would definitely purchase again despite the few disappointments. No cards can be perfect.
So far I’ve done 2 readings with this deck and each gave me new insights on the situation that i wouldn’t have had without this deck so I’m happy with my purchase. 😊🔮
