Cosmetic Injection Techniques 2nd Edition PDF-The quintessential guide to state-of-the-art cosmetic injection approaches, from two renowned experts!

This revised and updated second edition of Cosmetic Injection Techniques: A Text and Video Guide to Neurotoxins and Fillers by esteemed facial plastic surgeons Theda Kontis and Victor Lacombe builds on their bestselling first edition. Content is designed to augment knowledge of beginner injectors and train veteran injectors on how to finesse facial fillers and muscle-relaxing injections. Since publication of the first edition, understanding of the aging face has increased, while the number of non-surgical facial enhancements has continued to skyrocket. The book’s primary focus is the improvement of minor facial irregularities and asymmetries using the latest injection procedures.

Divided into six sections and four appendices, the book starts with the patient consultation and concludes with a new section on fat-dissolving techniques using Kybella. The fillers section features new chapters on choosing the right filler, fine lines and skin boosters, the de Maio technique, the mandibular angle, poly-l-lactic acid for the décolleté, and gender-specific injections. All chapters follow a reader-friendly, consistent format with succinct paragraphs covering indications, injection techniques, anatomic considerations, precautions, risks, pearls, illustrations or photos, and additional reading. Select chapters reflect North American techniques utilized by the authors that vary from East Coast to West Coast.

Marie “Videos don’t play and doesn’t recommend botox dosing. Good for novice injector because it does go over technique well. So so”
Holly Smith “When I viewed this online I thought it would be great for my practice; however, when I attempted to use the access code and log on to the site to access the videos an error message kept appearing. Will be looking elsewhere for a book.”
Jen E St Jean “the photos are clear, the instructions a quick and easy, plus they give several options depending on different anatomy
the videos online are pretty good to help visualize the treatment procedure.
I will be keeping this by my side at the clinic”
paramjit shergill “It is a complete waste. I was not able to access to e- book on MedOne.Thieme’s online platform on my Samsung 8 cell phone. There given code is wrong.”
nutcha yodrabum “After having read this marvelous copy, this book is highly recommended for those plastic surgery residents and other residents in related fields in facial surgery and rejuvenation. Due to the fact that it is the easiest and quickest approach to grasp the main content at the same level as those experts. I found that the content in each section is systematically presented with well-structured moves. This facilitates us to progressively understand those sophisticated issues easily.
Apart from this, this book is appropriate for plastic surgeons and those related medical specialists who aim to update their knowledge with high standards and be well-equipped with the most up-to-date issues.
Compared with the book of which title was shared decades ago, I found a number of distinctive issues presented in this current book. For instance, in terms of anatomy, the previous concerns were about the facial nerve and the sensory nerve. It has shifted and highlighted on the vascular network. In case of operation/ procedure which used to focus only the facial surgery procedure (eg. facelift ) to both of the surgical and the non-surgical facial rejuvenation. This point includes filler and botulinum toxin injection. These have been received a lot of attention currently.
The authors also step forward to the energy device issues and so forth. They are generous enough to share their valuable and meticulous experiences which cannot be found elsewhere.

On top of that, the main contributors are the world-leading and world authority plastic surgeon who has been widely recognized across the world. They are also a highly proficient person with expertise not only in the surgery but also in the non-surgical aesthetic procedures. According to this book, the authors evidentially demonstrates the high academic standard.

What I am impressed a great deal with this book are their fascinating illustrations, VDO, and cadaveric dissection. Those pictures are not only that beauty but also revealing a smart presentation method. These enable us to understand the content, particularly on focusing on the plane of various structures.

The book is worth buying.”

Yash “Facial danger zones is a comprehensive text focusing on facial anatomy as it relates to both surgical and non-surgical facial aesthetic surgery. The illustrations are superb and the authors have really provided clarity on areas that we’re not well described in the literature. If you are performing any type of facial aesthetic surgery, specifically facelifts, I highly recommend you read this book! It is truly knowledge from the masters. You won’t regret it.”
