Dr Sharmila Arun Babu MS (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MBA (HM), is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute (IGMC and RI), Puducherry. She completed her MBBS and (MS Obstetrics and Gynecology) from the prestigious JIPMER, Puducherry and is a gold medalist. She also holds an MBA degree in Hospital Administration. Had a little bit swinging mind when buying this book as it was a new release. Had completed reading the entire book in the past 6 months and had attended both theory as well as practical exams of final yr. Without any second thought this one entirely curtailed all the needs of both theory and practical exams in obs-gyne. Made me confident enough to face the exams and viva. Simplified topics but covering the entire subject in its kind. Simply go for it if you are looking for a single book to cover both theory and practical.

It’s the go to book for ob-gyn practical examination. For both undergrad and post grads. It’s given in a descriptive manner right from introduction, history taking till the discussion. Evrything about a topic is covered and more! OSCE topics such as the instruments and charts have also been given elaborately. I feel lucky to have come across the book and I am extremely grateful to the author 🙏🏻

Love this book the way its written story type and easily understandable language.
Must hv for all PGs. But its a colored xerox provided by seller. The last scratchable part is non scratchable. I am noticing just now. Cant even return it also. This is cheating and unethical.

I have given 5 Starts based on the Quality we get w.r.t Price. Before the Book Review, will share the bad packing form Cloud Retail India Pvt. Ltd.

I would have reduced stars for Poor packing from Cloud Retail From India.

*Worst Packing Ever – No Packing, not even Plastic Wrap*

Book was received in Damaged Condition. Front cover had damage by Weight marks. Back Cover was torn a little on the edge. (pics uploaded)

Worst Packing ever. Infact there was no packing whatsoever. The book was simply put in Bag without any plastic bag or shrink wrap. There was no corrugated paper, forget the Corrugated box
Never Received book without packing. Very unprofessional. Even a cheap book comes wrapped in Plastic.
*Dont Buy from this Seller*

All the damages could have been avoided if a 3 ply corrugated sheet / roll was used.


Book is excellent in Quality.

# Language and Writing style is simple and easily understandable
# Has Common Prefixes, Suffixes and roots of words used in Medical Terms – This makes a non-Medical student comfortable with Medical Terms
# Explanation of Legends like A/P is for Anterior and Posterior, etc using illustration in the beginning of book are very helpful for layman
# Contents are well categorized Section wise and Chapter wise

This book is not as detailed as Tortora’s Anatomy and Physiology, but is more than enough for a layman.
