Miltiadis Krokidis is a Consultant in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Cambridge University Hospitals in Cambridge, UK. He is a board certified practitioner of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (European Board of Interventional Radiology) by the Cardiovascular and Interventional
Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) and a Fellow of the European Society of Abdominal and Gastrointestinal Radiology (ESGAR). He has conducted a PhD on the use of covered metallic stents in malignant biliary disease. So far, he has authored and co-authored numerous papers in international
peer-reviewed journals and textbooks and he has delivered invited lectures in international forums and symposia. This is his first book as an Editor.
Dr. Irfan Ahmed is Mr Irfan Ahmed qualified in 2000 from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School. After completing basic medical and then radiology training, he did a fellowship in interventional radiology at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals followed by a fellowship at Barts and the London NHS
Trust and an honorary fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He was appointed as a consultant interventional radiologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2009.
Dr Sabharwal is Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and the Evelina Hospital and performs both vascular and nonvascular interventional procedures on adults and children.
Has been given the honorary fellowships from the Societies of Interventional Radiology of Europe (EBIR) and from the USA (SIR) for his contribution in clinical and research IR activity.

Found a few errors

Haven’t gone through the whole book yet, but as a junior it is a little disheartening to find errors already while skimming through the book. (stochastic events have no threshold and the TD5-5s are different than my other textbooks have stated) Hopefully it is just a few and the majority will be accurate. Hoping it will help me for my mid exam and then the future ARRT.

Access code does not work

Hello. I purchased this product so that I could use the online code to practice for the upcoming CQR exam. However, this code is no longer allows you to access the publishers website because Flash player is not longer supported. So I am unable to practice the exam as I had hoped. The publisher’s customer support has been extremely slow with responding and “might” have a solution in 4 weeks? The publisher said the code was over 10 years old. So definitely do not purchase this product from .

The book itself is decent, though some of the information is a little outdated now. However if you’re hoping to use the online module to study review questions, you’re out of luck. Since Flash player is no longer supported, the website no longer works and the company doesn’t seem to be making any solid moves to resolve this issue anytime soon. As other reviews have suggested, I would recommend buying a good used copy of the book since there’s no point in paying extra to buy the book brand new for the code anymore.

Access denied!

Do not pay extra for the online code as the website is no longer working since Jan. 1st 2021. Contacted the company and was told they are no longer upgrading this since it’s over 10 years old and you cannot access the exam prep questions because they require flash and Flash is not longer a thing. My advice is to buy a good used copy.

I recently took my boards and I used this book, the online study guide, and my principles and practice of radiation therapy book. I liked the online practice exam because it gave me a good idea of the sections I was strong in and what I needed to focus more on. I use the workbook but I felt that there was not enough information in it, so for me the online study guide, the practice test, and the priciples and practice of radiation therapy books were most helpful. There is also a website called rt-review.com that has some good practice questions on it. I hope this helps whoever is out there getting ready for their boards. =-)

I had a lot more stuff to study besides this book, but I feel like it definitely helped me pass my boards. I used the digital version and it was totally worth it. I give it 4 stars because it does not encompass everything you need to know, but it’s about the best option you’ve got for therapy boards until someone makes something better. I would recommend buying it.
