barbie watson “While it has some good points and good references in the back I don’t think that this will be your last book to help you run your small business. Accounting unfortunately is not anything you could cover in a book with less than 50 pages. There are just so many variables and nuances that will differ from business to business. The book has lots of good information if you are not familiar with different accounting processes. In chapter one, he discusses the importance of assets, liability and equity. Chapter two discusses business transactions and the accounting cycle. In chapter 3 discusses financial statements. In this chapter you get a brief discussion on the different types of financial statements. In chapter 4 discusses Fraud and Ethics when you are into accounting. Chapter 5 is probably the most important of all the chapters to me. This chapter has so much inforamtion about what is called the GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). The terms discussed are the Four Principles and the roles of each and the Four Accounting Assumptions. In the last chapter 6 raps up using the software to building your business and using accounting to run it. I received this product for a discount rate in exchange for my honest review. This however has not influenced my opinion. As an online shopper I know how important these reviews are in helping someone decide whether or not to buy a product. If this review was helpful please mark yes.”

Saluki Alum! “I ordered and quickly received the Accounting: For Small Businesses QuickStart Guide – Understanding Accounting For Your Sole Proprietorship, Startup, & LLC. This Quickstart Guide was mailed in a cardboard box with other items I ordered and was delivered at my front door. This book was not package, but looks exactly the same as the picture on the page. When I saw this book I wanted the book to read and learn about learning about accounting for my LLC. This book is an easy read and you can tell because I read this in a few hours. This is a good book to learn a few things, but DO NOT think you will learn everything about accounting and small businesses in a 50 page book. It sets a good base for those that is going into this brand new or little accounting knowledge. I believe it is always good to refresh on things during life and this book is a good keep and/or share for other friends. This book is very Informative to provide you BASIC knowledge of accounting, rules to record your transaction, balance sheet preparation and business is a different entity then the businessman, If you are planning to own a small business, i really suggest this book to have basic knowledge of accounting. It helps you in many ways to keep record of profit & loss and assets and liabilities detail.

I received this free or virtually so for product testing and review. I am under no obligation to provide a positive review and receive no incentives or rewards for doing so. My aim is to highlight features and drawbacks that I would want to know about as a buyer, not hype the product for the manufacturer. My remarks are sincere and my own. I work very hard trying to write insightful and thoughtful reviews for each item. My hope is that these reviews are helpful to others. Please let me know how I am doing by voting “Yes” if you think that my review helped you. If it did not, please comment with how I can improve; this helps me to be a better reviewer. While it is true that many items are received at discounted rates or complimentary, my reviews are completely honest and are my personal experiences with the product. Again, it is just my opinion, your own opinion might vary. I received no monetary compensation and not required to give a good review.”

Daniel J. Clement “This book was a great companion to my learning material as part of my Executive MBA program.

It provided clear explanations and many examples to help clarify.

The hardest parts for me were understanding the debits and credits and how they behave on either side of the fundamental equation. I also had a hard time understanding how to adjust non-cash assets on the cash flow statement. This book helped me with both.

I also used the book to review by re-reading relevant sections before my exam.

As as side note, my Wife ordered the “Start Your Own Business” quick start guide, and that book is great also!”

Anderson Curtis “I wanted to learn more about accounting and came accross this book.Unfortunately is not what I’ve expected.I expected something that could teach me from scratch and help me understand how accounting works. This book did not help me too much because it has a lot of technical terms which I do not understand. It’s not a bad book but too technical.”
Jenni G “I LOVE this book. It gives a nice introductory breakdown of some core concepts and principles. It is sophisticated enough to feel like you are not reading a kiddie how to but not so overwhelmed with jargon you don’t understand that you get nothing out of it. I’m so glad I bought this book.”
