Among his commercial clients are Ralph Lauren, Sam Edelman, J. McLaughlin, and Lilly Pulitzer. Mele grew up in Edith Wharton’s Newport house and divides his time between Newport in the summer and Palm Beach in the winter. Ruthie Sommers is an interior designer and painter. Her work has appeared in Town & Country, Veranda, House Beautiful, Architectural Digest, and many other publications. She splits her time between Aspen, Colorado; Goleta, California; and Newport, where she spends every summer.

Lovely picture book

Weird launch. Ordered in January with estimated arrival of May 1. Was delayed and received it on the last day of May. Pricing was TBD when ordered which was fine but was charged $63 yesterday and today it’s listed for $50. Very discombobulated.
The book itself is very ascetically pleasing but no captions or descriptions on the photos unlike the Slim Aarons books it’s modeled after which was disappointing. Definitely just a book of friends for friends. Overall a nice addition to the coffee table collection though.
