More of an inspirational boom than a workbook

This book has a lot of inspiring thoughts and words, but I was looking for more of a workbook type book so my child can journal her thoughts and feelings. This book doesn’t have as many writing/interactive opportunities as I was hoping. I may look at having my child read this in the future, but for now it is not what I needed.

My 11 year old tween and I love reading together and this has been a fun encouraging read. It’s for kids but it has been great for me as well. This is a definite yes for a tween trying to stay positive, believe in themselves, and just generally have a better thought process. Buy it! 😊

Small unadjustable fonts extremely difficult to read

I bought the book today and haven’t read yet. My review is not about the book and the author, but about the display of the book and the pages. The pages are scanned like a picture and fonts are very small, cannot be adjusted. It’s exteremely hard to read. It seems that I will not be able to read this book. Sorry for writing here, but I couldn’t find a complaint or refund section for online orders.

Conversational and uplifting

Even though this is labeled a “children’s book,” I found the content of this book applicable and uplifting to me. The writing style is conversational and the text is broken up with fun illustrations, making this a fast read. The author’s sense of humor shines through. He gives the reader personal examples as well as those from professionals who have worked hard for many years to improve their skills. Readers are also given brain science of creating neural pathways through practice in easy-to-understand language. I will be recommending and gifting this book to anyone who wants to learn new skills and/or just wants a delightful and inspirational read.

Bought for my 7 year old who needed a boost, she’s devoured it and keeps re reading and reading bits to me. Slightly old for her and we have helped her with explanations but no difficulty in reading or understanding the message. Excellent book. Highly recommend, has definitely made a difference.

Bought this for my 14yo sister and as a gift for another 3 teenagers. Everyone loved it. I wish I had this book when I was that age. It is a really cool book, well designed and I like its yellow and black colour scheme and doodles. The book is pretty small but I would talk through it with whoever you are buying for to make sure those ideas sink in and are meaningful and contextualised
