Top reviews

M. Robertson “The tracing part is okay. But the matching images are ridiculous: R for Retro Car, W for Walking Boat, Y for Yellow Boat (with a black and white picture) .
And the kicker: X for X-Mas Sleigh .
Only 5.99 but it’s going back.”

Ronda Borkovec “

The words they chose for each letter are the most random and obscure words. Like O for Old Airplane(doesn’t appear old), Y for yellow taxi but the picture is black and white, or my favorite X for X-max Sleigh…Like what?!? Absolutely terrible choice. Do not waste your money.

MPA “I wish I would have read reviews of this book, instead of just looking at the overall rating. This book is junk. As others have stated the description of each word is ridiculous, and not relatable to a 3-5 year old. X-mas for “X” was especially phoning it in.

Additionally, it’s incredibly simple. It says for 3-5 year old so I purchased this for my 4 year old, but after doing about 1 page I passed this down to our 2.5 year old to use. Skip this one.”

KLB81 “I’m not sure it’s right to deduct one star from this product for the following reason, but I am. All of the noun words with the pictures are related to things that move. And some of the words are rather obscure just to fit the theme (see photos). I would have preferred words used more often for learning. However, the front does say On the Go in smaller letters and has all vehicle images. If you look at the image of the back of the book provided by the seller, you can see the on the move words and photos. I just didn’t notice when purchasing. I was just focused on alphabet and sight words. Also, it would have been nice to make the pages perforated so the pages could be torn out for easier writing.”
The Mechanic’s Wife “The set up of this book is weird. In the first portion, it has the letters and writing space to practice the letters, but the corresponding words on those pages are quite long and not easy for beginners. Not to mention a child probably could not identify some of the examples by the picture and would struggle to know the letter that way.
The second portion has some sight words that I personally wouldn’t think of as sight words for beginners. “Know” is not a very good example for “k,” because it doesn’t showcase the main sound of the letter and I don’t consider words with uncommon silent letters or more than 3 characters as sight words.
Also, the sight word pages don’t have an equal amount of space or words for each letter. I could be more forgiving for words with like z and x, but a lot of the letters with less sight words, I could think of 5 words off the top of my head that would have been easy.
Overall, it’s just confusing and I dislike the format of this work book. It’s usable, I guess, but just for practicing writing, not really for learning much.”
