Her Story Ended Yet COVID Continues
September 8, 2021
A good account of one couples COVID experience. My wife and I evacuated FL in March 2020, hurriedly leaving our sailboat and driving hard towing our Airstream. We isolated, overnighted in Rest Areas and made it home to Durango CO in record time. Although we returned to FL to market and sell the yacht, I was more than happy to finally depart that foolish State. Now it’s September 2021 and the pandemic is raging once again, for the reasons cited by Gerri – lying politicians and people unwilling to sacrifice for the common good. God help us.

Great book
July 10, 2021
Another great book from Gerri Almand, author of the Reluctant RV Wife and Home is Where the RV Is. Imagine leaving home for a 2 month inaugural trip in your brand new RV. Then Coved hits and you can’t go home. Trying to stay ahead of the epidemics Gerry and her husband Mike are forced to change how and where they camp. Then they sell their home while on the road and become true full timers! A great read.

An interesting chronicle of the first year of covid
December 16, 2021
It was interesting to see how Gerri and her husband coped with covid in an RV and without a fixed address. This book didn’t seem to have as many interesting anecdotes as the first two books, but that’s probably because Gerri was not able to do much traveling when trying to isolate from covid. Her writing is always wonderful, and she can even make RV park bathrooms into a story. I found myself at times judging Gerri and her husband for the choices they made during covid (going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans when the whole country knew that Mardi Gras was going to spread a huge amount of infection’s, continuing to eat in restaurants until the restaurants physically shut down, traveling across multiple states when the rest of us were being told to quarantine in our own homes and avoid going out at all). This is just my opinion and does not affect my rating of her book, but maybe other people who tried to be extremely conscientious in the pre vaccine era of coronavirus will find themselves similarly annoyed by her choices.

Running but worried

Hopefully they got their vaccinations. They managed to hunker down while living in the RV during covid , hiking, and meeting people, setting up precautions.
These precautions were exactly what lots of people were doing , not everyone but most. Analyzing there decisions and the isolation described is understandable. To make the best of this difficult time
This new delta variant will add more stress, no one knows what will happen with that one.

Was not entertaining
October 11, 2021
I really enjoyed Gerri’s first two books, which included many great RV stories and were well written. I did not enjoy this book as Gerri spent the entire book running from COVID and complaining about anyone who did not social distance or wear a mask. I wish she would have focused more on the RV stories and lessons learned, but this obviously was a trying time for Gerri and her husband. Hopefully, we will have more fun RV stories in the future!
Refreshing look at 2020

Love idea that people can change, grow, change, and grow some more. What we value can change too. The author hits the nail on the head when she relates her joy, fears, failures and triumphs. Will continue to watch for more books.
A fine chronicle of a strange time

Gerri’s story rings true for any of us who’ve made an RV part of our COVID isolation strategy. Plus, the editing is flawless, and she never confuses it’s with its!
