Relentless is a page turner easy read, about trial and triumph. Natasha drops little gems for all of us to live-by as we experience her very personal coming of age story. She worked hard to get where she is and is an event planning mogul! It is inspiring. What really stayed with me is how she kept her heart open and creative juices flowing through all the challenges. I highly recommend this book!

Relentlessly real, relatable and raw

I belong to two book clubs and am a storyteller for a living. But Natasha Miller’s story grabbed me in a visceral way like few books I’ve read.

I started taking notes when I got to a line in her book about modems screaming robot profanity. It made me smile. And it made me realize I had smiled, gasped, ached, held my breath and so much more since I’d picked up her book 90 minutes before that. I didn’t want to lose that phrasing, so I thumbed it into my phone.

Then I hit a stride. I greedily jotted down her next unflinching observation, witty analogy or invitation to the reader to befriend their junior high self. I probably had 15 entries— and a tear-soaked phone — when I got an incoming text from a friend who’d just quit her job. And just like that, I lost my digital handful of literary beach glass.

And you know what? I was kind of excited for the excuse to go back down this glorious stretch of sand with Natasha and hunt for those gems. And to fill my pail with more.

Her writing and storytelling is like an invitation to snuggle into a comfy chair and chat over a bottle of wine. (The consummate events maven, she even curated a menu and seating arrangement for book discussions in the end notes!) It is an offer of kinship and trust, humor and humility. And, oh my god — raw, real angst. And ridiculous talent. And generosity. And mother love. And forgiveness.
