Excerpt of my review: “I’m actually disappointed, and am preparing to ship back.
LOVE Rocco, but I wish that instead of highlighting how many “fat” grams there are per recipe, he’d focus on how many “sugar” grams there are. He seems to think that consuming dietary fat makes us fat, whereas it’s our SUGAR consumption (from refined carbs) that makes us fat. Usually if a product is labeled, “low fat” or “no fat”, they replace it with additives (many cases, sugar) to make it taste good. I don’t agree with his idea of using all of these low fat substitutes..it’s not necessary. It’s “trans” fat we need to avoid, and that’s primarily in “processed” foods. No need to eliminate EGGS either…they’re actually very GOOD for us, rather than processed liquid eggs which God knows what’s in them besides egg whites! Dietary cholesterol does not raise serum cholesterol levels….SUGARS do. I agree with using Stevia as a sugar substitute and agave in moderation(it still spikes insulin levels!) ….” So happy to see Rocco “gets it” now! 🙂 BRAVO!!!!”
If you are simply looking to find new Keto recipes, skip to part three. Rocco turns boring Keto food into delicious comfort food. There are over 80 recipes. They include Breakfast, Lunch and dinner recipes. The book also contains smoothies, appetizers and my favorite desserts and treats.
Included in the book is all the Keto comfort food ingredients that you need. In part two of the book the reader gets a day by day step by step diet program. The diet program does not only give you the foods to eat, but information about what you are eating. The information include: calories, protein, fat, carbs etc. This is not a blind diet. Rocco offers a full education about what you are eating.
If you are like me, you skip additional information in books found in the appendices. Do NOT skip appendix B. I often eat out at restaurants. One of the problems faced by people on the Keto diet is what to order when eating out. Appendix B on pages 305-317 offers the perfect solution to the problem of eating at a restaurant. Appendix A offers a complete shopping list for each tier of the diet.
This book and it is perfect for any novice or an experienced Keto dieter. Enjoy these delicious recipes and good luck to all on their quest for dieting and healthy eating.”
Extremely disappointed in this book. Absolutely nothing new or creative with the recipes. The first 130 pages is info how to do the Keto Diet. The book contains 80 recipes. Keto breakfast coffee, pancakes, meatballs with zoodles, cauliflower pizza, chili, Caesar salad, Cobb salad, cauliflower mashed potatoes, cauliflower Mac n cheese, bacon Brussels sprouts. Creamed spinach, etc.
These recipes have circulated all over the internet. Nothing new. It’s too late in the game to publish this book. I regret purchasing it and hope you avoid the same mistake.”
