Race to the Bottom PDF-Everyone wants: High schoolers to graduate well-prepared for jobs. Improved STEM literacy. Greater achievement for inner-city children. Happiness for all children. So why are liberals spending billions of dollars working against those goals?

In Race to the Bottom, Luke Rosiak uncovers the shocking reason why American education is failing: Powerful special interest groups are using our kids as guinea pigs in vast ideological experiments. These groups’ initiatives aren’t focused on making children smarter—but on implementing a radical agenda, no matter the effect on academic standards.

Nonprofits pump billions into initiatives meant to redress racial inequities. Rather than fixing the problem, districts with a big gap between white and black test scores hire consultants who claim the tests are meaningless because they are “racist.” These consultants’ judgments allow school districts to ignore their own failures—ultimately hurting minority students and perpetuating racism.

That is just one example. Drawing on his years in investigative journalism, Rosiak did a deep dive into school files, financial records, and parents’ stories. What he found is that nonprofit influence has crept into the educational bureaucracy all over America. Corrupt school boards and quack diversity consultants abound. Teachers drawing government pay claim it’s unsafe to return to in-person school, but “double dip” teaching in-person private classes. And amid all this focus on money and equity, academic standards are crumbling, which hurts American kids in ways we’ll be suffering for decades.

Race to the Bottom is the first comprehensive exposé of the way radical ideology and self-serving administrators are destroying academic quality in America’s K-12 schools. Rigorous and deeply-researched, this is essential reading for anyone who cares about the future of our kids.

Elicia “Read Race to the Bottom by Luke Rosiak. It will leave you terrified. Hopefully, terrified enough to take action.

Being intimately involved and extraordinarily active in fighting to correct the educational crises and wrongs being imposed upon children as a result of Loudoun County Public Schools’ (VA) poor decisions, bad policies and steadfast commitment to political ideology and indoctrination over education, I thought I knew all the issues and what to do to help solve them…until I read Race to the Bottom, by Luke Rosiak.

Sitting in my living room in the early afternoon reading, I finished the last page and closed the book cover after the sun had already gone down. With the closed book on my lap, all I could do was sit in the dark, in the quiet of my home, and think about nothing other than what a tremendous problem we have with rot affecting our schools, how long we have had it and how quickly we must pivot in the right direction in order to course correct.

I’m incredibly grateful to Mr. Rosiak for his years-long research and work in exposing the “cartel”, a dizzying web of power-brokers with their labyrinth of foundations funding “projects” and undercover activist groups, whose efforts in obtaining power and money are cloaked in the “ending systemic racism” and “Equity” narratives driving the decisions in American academic institutions, while serving to satisfy the greed of those key players. Race to the Bottom details the “virus” pervading every level of our government and the influence it has on our educational system, and thereby our future as a free, independent and equal-opportunity American society. If the American Dream is important to you or if you believe today’s children will have an impact on America’s tomorrow, you must step into the fight to save our schools or change the system. It is broken.

This battle cannot be fought or won without first reading Race to the Bottom. Rosiak gives concrete evidence to who, what, when, where, why and how these policies are being implemented in just about every state, every county, every district and every school in our country at an alarming rate– with your tax dollars.

Race to the Bottom is an empowering must-read that provides the information necessary to be the most effective change-agent. It is enlightening, powerful and it is terrifying.”

Eileen babikian “I picked the book up randomly, and it is a true 5 star must read. The author clearly reveals how public school administrators and school board members manipulate statistics and have an obsession with proving that the students can pass standardized tests. Surprisingly corrupt and self serving board members are so focused on an illusion that is smoke and mirrors and our most vulnerable students are only given a “kill and drill”, practice on tests, and it is all meaningless. Real educational resources and learning is sacrificed. I learned do not take local politics and school board policies for granted, assuming that the focus is critical learning and problem solving. Honestly, the book has changed my thinking and I will become vigilant in taking a much closer look on what is really happening without schools.”

Todd “Our education system is really in crisis if we think that we can change math to make it more equitable. Math has to be right if you want to build bridges, design cars, write computer programs, send rockets to space, or make new drugs. I can’t believe this is on the chopping block in progressive schools.

This book is eye opening on how activists have taken over our schools and school boards and are not promoting ideals in the best interest of the students, but what the activists want for themselves. I’m all for pushing for more equity but not when it means bringing other groups down. We should be trying to raise our ability to educate everybody and not shoot for the lowest common denominator. I worry about two things in particular by shooting for the lowest common denominator: 1) massive waste of money, I think some of the schools are spending twenty to thirty thousand dollars to educate students. If we are spending that much, we should get a great return on the investment. 2) Other countries are trying to put the most educated groups of students forward. This will ultimately make them more competitive than us. We can’t afford to continue to get behind the rest of the world in our education standards.

Finally, this book made a great point about thinking locally about politics as opposed to nationally. Much of the stuff that impacts us the most is at the local level.”
