Read this book when I did an F2 job in Neurosurgery. Will make your job much more enjoyable if you understand decision making, pathophysiology and looking after these critical patients. Almost made me do neurosurgery as a career (!)

Is a good and quick review of main neurosurgical subjects with practical updated advices for both junior and senior neurosurgical doctors even if they will use it in a different way. Also useful for neuroradiologists and neurologists and last but not least for stroke doctors.

the authors have put a great effort and time into this book to make sure it is applicable, concise and up to date.
Each case is well structured and includes a brief history, investigations (very well illustrated scans), progress of the patient, then a series of questions covering the possible differential diagnoses and management options in addition to covering a lot of the fundamental information.
it describes the practical side of neurosurgical care with solid answers to practical questions.
the cases are grouped according to topic, which allows the reader to maintain interest
The presentation format is very user friendly, easy to read in a sensible time saving manner.

Lovely art but unfortunately no Linux Distro (Just kidding)

This is a very well made book. There were a couple of display hitches which are sadly common with kindle children’s books. The story explains the meaning of ubuntu and talks about how we are all connected and One. Great sentiment and along the veins of many of the world’s philosophies and religions even in not in actual practice. Worth getting. My boy gives it his stamp of approval.

My love of the written word began as a child. Reading taught me to recognize that no matter how different we may appear, we are the same. This is essentially Ubuntu, a South African philosophy, that I Am You teaches its readers through its colorful illustrations and straightforward text. I cannot think of a better way to bring in a new year than to read this hopeful little book with the young children in your life.

* I had no problems reading the book on the Kindle Cloud Reader.

Lovely sentiment and ideas

Loved the descriptions of all people regardless of color, disability, living situation, ethnicity, traditions, and all are one. Beautiful artwork and lots of color. Showing the good and bad in people is an important aspect of life. A good children’s book. Only criticism is the font was too small and one page would not allow me to right it…continued to open sideways regardless of my efforts to look at it and/or read the page. Overall though, a good, solid children’s book that teaches differences yet we are all one.

Self compassion + empathy
January 2, 2022

I’m writing this book review from an adult perspective, as I read this to myself (adult) and shared with another adult: Embracing and applying self compassion can sometimes feel impossible, feigned at best, and separate from empathy/compassion for others. This little book quickly heals that wound with Zinelda McDonald’s illustrations and Refiloe Moahloli’s captions. The resulting story was a welcome respite to the pervasive “either-or” resulting mindset to what seems like any given topic. Lovely, simple, accessible for kids, (…and I wish mandatory for adults!).
