The book is fine but none of the links for videos and other added content via routeledgetextbooks.com are working. So it is just the book no added content at all.

I have been in full time online learning for four years. I have used electronic books and paperback/hardback. This is by FAR the absolute worse e-book I have ever had. It is impossible to navigate, it doesn’t use page numbers that correlate with the text, the search feature is practically worthless. When a search correlates, it is impossible to know if a result is in an area of interest without selecting it. I honestly could not dislike this ebook any more than I do. Hated I wasted my money and didn’t stick with the hardback.
Edited to add: I forgot to mention it is impossible to see any of the tables or graphs without having to manually increase the zoom of the browser substantially (you can not double click or zoom in as you would in a decent ebook
Many typographical errors

The information in this book is great (I got the paperback version). This is however the WORST edited textbook I’ve ever read. Errors range from random bold letters to misspellings to errors of ideas that require page turning and internet searching to clarify. I literally (and I’m not exaggerating) find an error every time I read. With a new, more detailed editor this book would be nearly perfect.
Do not buy if you need page numbers.

My school assigns page numbers for you to read but this ebook does not have page numbers. It has locations! This does not help when you have to site things and actually find anything based on the page number. This is fine for leisurely reading but is absolutely not ok for a textbook. This was very frustrating. If I could give it zero stars I would. At least the refund process was easy.

Several disclaimers first: I am not any kind of expert reviewer. I am a fan of Peterson’s teachings. I have been following him since the Bill C-16 flap which is what first got my attention. I have watched a great many of his videos and have read his “12 Rules For Life”, and I am a member of a large women’s group all of whom support Peterson’s work.
With that intro, I give the book a 5 star rating for the following reasons:
1) Because it is a very good chronological story of how this now controversial man came to his world view. It tells how he sought to understand man’s inhumanity to man and the great capacity for evil that resides in us if we let it overwhelm us.
2) This biography fills in the missing pieces as to how Peterson, who has clearly helped so many people and been such a good influence on his students, male and female, and people of all ages ages and backgrounds became such a controversial figure just for telling scientific truths. I wanted to know how it happened that a man who taught such basic, good rules to live by, as well as essential psychology necessary to understanding the human condition, could be ganged up on by media, particularly female media personalities.
3) The final reason for the 5 stars is to counter the obvious troll ratings which began appearing the minute his enemies became aware of this book.
As for the book itself, for me it is a really well done, simple biographical account of how Dr. Peterson came to see the world as it was, how it is, and how it can be. And then it clearly lays out the forces behind the efforts to destroy him for telling us about it and cautioning us so we don’t proceed to repeat the horrors of the past.
I look forward to reading more of Jim Proser’s work starting with his book “No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy: The Life of General James Mattis”.
