Wells “In Nothing To Lose Phil M Williams gives us a look at an ordinary man up against forces that are set on ending him, or at least driving him to move somewhere else. The story takes place after Joe’s wife has been murdered and after he has been tried twice for the crime. Two hung juries do nothing to dampen the conviction of his neighbours that he is to blame. Joe is a regular guy adamant of his innocence and a victim of those around him working to oust the unwanted element. Is his suspected guilt the only reason these people have it in for him or is someone in their midst to blame for everything that has happened to Joe? The author takes Joe on an intense roller coaster ride through this book and has the reader, or at least me, second guessing what has happened along the way. Is Joe the truly innocent man he claims or is there more going on than he thought? I won’t spoil the story but by the end I wasn’t sure which way it would all play out.”

I have corresponded with Phil and know he has two feral cats, Patches and Baby Kitty, so I got a big kick about seeing their appearance in this book. As always, the story grabbed me from the very beginning, trying to figure out if Joe really did kill his wife, or if one of his nasty neighbors did. Poor Joe has lost everything, his wife, their daughter, his home to liens, not to mention he is completely shunned by his neighbors. You know what they say, don’t get mad, get even. You can guess the rest, or read the book. I promise you won’t be disappointed.”
