Unexpectedly Good

This is a new author and VA for me and that always has me feeling skeptical. Especially for the first few chapters. This one surprised me. It definitely has the typical Isekai feel and some good Dungeon Core elements. It tries to subvert some of the clichés but falls into others. Despite those clichés it is a fun story and a good first entry to a series.

I look forward to see how the rest of the world builds out and how some of these characters continue to grow. I’ll definitely be picking up Book 2 when it comes out.

Do you like Dragons?
Do you like Fantasy battles?
Do you like Magic?
Do you like Dragons?

Then this is probably a book for you…
It’s well written, with real character growth and an interesting world that actually feels alive around the protagonist.
I know I loved reading it even if it almost made me cry

This promises to be an incredibly fun series, with a solid MC that is aware of his own flaws. He quickly figures out what he is lacking, and works to correct this… also Dragons. And loot. And training monsters to be big ol’ puppies.

Waking up as a dragon!

One of the things I love about LitRPG is being able to relate the the MC and comparing what you would do in their shoes. This is a fun one as the MC wakes up as a dragon. This totally shifts the narrative from your typical LitRPG as he has a so many new and different things to figure out. What would you do in this case? Read this and figure it out!

Great start to a dragon/dungeon litrpg not to crunchy no over explaining anything, but also not a simple over powered character. There is potential for expansion in different directions. I’m definitely getting the next book.

Great book with a great new concept

It is great when you read a book with a new concept. LitRPG reincarnation books with a different race are very familiar. However, to be reborn as a dragon on a new world is revolutionary. Book includes elements of character development, city building, and an open world concept (everything is at the discretion of the MC).

One of the other unique aspects is that the world is underground which provides an interesting limitation on the MC as a dragon.
