The Writers
Dr. Dunphy was the inaugural Associate Dean for Practice in the CEL CON, from 2014-18. She is most known for her widely used textbook, Primary Care: The Art and Science of Advanced Practice Nursing, now going into its fifth edition. Dr. Dunphy also published and presented on the history of nursing and medicine, and is recognized in that arena for her scholarship on the development and use of the iron lung, used during the polio epidemics of 20th century.
She has had long and deep connections to FAU having spent 1995 – 2006 here also and was Full Professor and Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs when she left, spending the years of 2006 -2014 in the College of Nursing of the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI. Dr. Dunphy was a trailblazer in that setting also having been appointed there as Full Professor and Inaugural Routhier Chair for Practice. She also was the first Associate Dean for External Affairs in that setting. Dr. Dunphy was a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow from 2009-2012 and in 2012 was the founding nurse lead of the Rhode Island Action Coalition (RIAC) established to advance the Institute of Medicine’s Future of Nursing report published in 2011. Dr. Dunphy now divides her time between Boca Raton, FL and Narragansett, RI.

When I received this I was not expecting to be unable to read it due to the contrast between the letters and the background. I’m likely the only person to complain about this, but anyway. Whomever printed this should note the low contrast on the sheet. The letters are at times very close to the background colour making the text difficult if not impossible to read. Most of the text is okay, but, there are areas that cannot be read without a magnifying glass. You might want to look into that. Also, the shipping costs are awful. The item is an 8.5″ X 11″ sheet. It could have been sent in an envelope or a mailing tube, saving the customer about $5 in shipping. The customer really gets mugged with the shipping charges.

I was disappointed that there was not more information on this card. Quite a few of the boxes that were suppose to tell you the uses of the herbs were blank. I actually was going to return the product but if I did I would pay the cost of shipping which equaled my buying price, so I thought I might as well keep it.

I love this little handi-dandy cheat cards. I have several…but I think this particular one was a little basic knowledge that anyone would know already or could easily research. Common things listed are Ginger, Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Garlic, Kava, green tea…it’s still useful but just not in-depth

Essential oils are natural, pure and alternatives to home remedies and supplements to health inquiries. I have been to presentations on essential and lost of massage therapist uses oils. There are people who use oils for eastern medical treatment. This chart is a quick reference resource about essential oils. It tells what the oils are and what their best usage. If you don’t know about oils this is a good first use guide. I brought one for me and one for my friend.

Very nice guide and has a lot of useful information on it as a quick, go to reference. A lot of stuff that I never knew and I got these cause my family has been suffering a lot of skin and allergy issues so we have decided to cut out the chemicals and other things that aren’t natural to try and better our health. These guides are handy to have as a quick guide, I reference them all the time. Would recommend to anyone who needs something quick to reference.
