Nearly useless as an e-book. Stick with the hard copy.

The e-book book version of CVA is a train wreck. The information is all here, but if you have any inclination to access it in a simple or timely fashion, you’re out of luck. Which is sad, because that’s pretty much all I’m looking for from a book like this. You can’t search by table of contents because it’s essentially non-existent (see attached photo.) The search function is slightly better, but the volume of info is too much to readily get you to the chapter you’re looking for. And there is no other way to sort through any of it. It’s pretty clear that the party responsible for making this into an ebook was either new at this or just too busy to to put in anything more than the absolute minimum effort. Which now that I think about it, isn’t true because a version of this that’s just high quality scans of the actual hard copy would have been infinitely more useful. Glad this came out of my CE allotment, rather than my pocket, because otherwise I’d say I feel robbed.

Edit: was kind enough to let me return the kindle version. I ordered the hard copy instead and *SURPRISE* it comes with its own code for an ebook through the Inkling app which is MUCH higher quality.

I just bought this and literally cannot figure out how to use it. The Table of Contents has no diseases listed just headings common to every listing. It’s not possible to browse through. If you click on a general heading who knows what disease will pop up! If you do a search it does not bring you to the main page for that disease but gives multiple places where the word appears, like an index with many page references. Waste of $98. Will have to buy hard copy. I tried to put zero stars but it wouldn’t let me.

I wish I had read other reviews first. This ebook is unusable as it is not readily searchable and you can’t get to the subject material quickly. I have tired to make this work for several months and wish I had returned it instantly. I’ll have to purchase the hard copy and have wasted $98.

UPDATE: I reached out to and they refunded my money for this e-book and now I have ordered the paper version. Thank you for making this right!

I love this book for sparking my memory of conditions I don’t see frequently. It is also great for considering differentials. My favorite thing about this version is the ability to access the ebook from my phone. I do ER relief work and I travel via plane, so lugging a book along in my carry-on is not something I am willing to do. With the ebook, I have access to the full content at my fingertips. The informative videos are also fantastic for clients! I’m very pleased.
