Lance Scott Walker created a riveting portrait of one of the most influential musicians of the last century. His style is both incredibly engaging and deeply respectful – most of the story is told directly by those that knew DJ Screw. The book it’s super easy to read but is actually a scholarly ethnographic study of an incredibly creative and important musician and the culture that he helped create.

An unconventional biography on the one true original DJ Screw. Format is an oral history, where those that knew Screw best share their stories and insights on Screw. Walker puts together the puzzle pieces and you are left with a deeper feeling of this legendary H Town figure that influenced so many music makers of today. Love this book.
